Weapons were heavy flamer&power fist, combi-melta&power sword, combi-flamer&lightning claw and combi-bolter&power fist. Terminator's might not be greatest choise out there but I rather like idea of them and this wasn't TOO pricey concidering it also contained my general.

The core of my army. 2 rhino's gives me enough speed for my tastes. Flamers and melta's are flexible pair, giving me unit capable of handing one type of foe quite well. Aspiring champpions are one of the better ones under TAR, mutation might be bad idea for the price but extra fist attack cannot be that bad.

52 is about ideal I like with chaos marines. 50-55 model and I'm happy. Not that much in form of armoured support but we'll see. Opponent's army he's planning to take into tournament:
fallen Inquisitor(lietnaunt) w/man-reaper, strenght, furious charge and probably some other stuff too. No inv saves though.

We opted for GT cleanse, 10" from center point, only quarters count, no deep strike or infiltrate(we weren't precicely sure of the exact scenario rules though). Terrain was excelent from my point of view(having won choise of quarters). He was mostly in open, par one small forrest on his south(he was on north-west quarter from my POV) and hill on his table corner. I OTOH had two forrest on my side, giving me cover to deploy troops and screen to rhino's
chaos:
terminators were as close to center point as possible, screening the berserker glaive character. Bit north(following the quarter-circle from center point) were 3 bikers. On left-south forrest was lascannon marines(looking at his leman russ) and missile launcher squad(with LOS to basilisk) and behind it was the rhino with flamer squad. On right forrest was another missile launcher squad + melta rhino.
LATD:
Basilisk on his corner, behind the hill, russ bit to right. Spawns north of center-point, more north to that the mutant swarms + inquisitor. Damn that's lots of fists centered around...Anyway around center of his quarter was lascannon group + front of them(toward me) missile squad. Heavy bolter squad in forrest. Nurglings around center too. Rhino + rough riders left of the forrest.
Suprisingly close he deployed. Though if he had put far he would have strugled to get to quarters anyway so maybe not that bad. Anyway after I rolled 1 he won the first turn easily...
LATD #1:
Mutants head forward, center not much movement. Rough riders and rhino advanced to south. Shooting. Basilisk fired indirectly toward flamer squad, this was the shot I was fearing for...Luckily he ended up bit short before scatter and while the scatter was only 2" away it still left rhino out, barely. Annoyingly it killed 3 from lascannon group which also pinned them...Drat. Rest of shooting headed toward terminator's which just shrugged shots off easily. Hurah for the ancient terminator armour
Crimson #1:
Rhino's headed left and north respectively. Khorne lietnaunt raged forward, terminator's couldn't quite get front so khorne bikers, who conviniently passed blood rage test, moved to screen the lietnaunt(one krak missile and failed inv save and his career is gone). Shooting. Krak missile hit the basilisk but failed to glance, another was inch or two short...Bummer. Khorne bikers(one could tell they were KHORNE bikers. Out of initial 6 shots only 2 hit...Luckily rerolls fixed the situation with every shot hitting) and terminators shot at nearest mutant unit, killing around ~5.
That's it. Not impressive casualty wise but now I'm ready to do some _good_ with assault forces, assuming they stay alive that is
LATD #2:
No furies(phew). Mutant squad on north keep advancing toward east, second holds still and prepare to fire(ROFLMAO!). Spawns move to be assault screen sort of. Rough riders advance to shoot melta's toward rhino on south. No other movement of note. Shooting. Basilisk that blasted 2 marines from missile squad at south(the one with LOS to basilisk) pinning the unit...COWARDS! Leman russ open up on rhino at north-east(that had popped smoke) and shaked it. Phew. Mutants shot at khorne bikers, killing 2. Lascannon then aimed at khorne lietnaunt that had been exposed but missed(phew). Melta's from rough riders missed. Shooting at terminator was ineffective, again. All in all this is looking GOOD.
Crimson #2:
Bloodletters arrive, huzah! Tried to use terminator icon to get near mutants(which I figured to be biggest threat) but 11" scatter and I was close to rough riders instead. Ah well. Time to deal with those anyway. So they prepared to charge them instead. Flamer squad drove north and unloaded next to nurglings. Melta squad moved and prepared to charge yet untouched mutant squad. Khorne lietnaunt and lone bike prepare to charge hurt mutant squad while terminators moved toward spawns. Time to kick some lost&damned butt(concidering my chaos marines hate traitorous-imperium more than anything else just what the heck are they attacking lost&the damned anyway?).
But first shooting. Krak missile killed some mutants where biker shot as well killing some. Lascannon group aimed at spawns causing wound, terminators(using one-use weapons while I still had chance) caused 3 more, killing 2 beasts. Flamer squad torched 2 bases of nurglings with flamers(didn't opt to shoot the rest). Then time to assault. Bloodletters to rough riders(squad wiped out, OBVIOUSLY I might add
Combats went well. Nurgling went poof, so did 2 more spawns(for loss of no terminator) and both mutant units suffered hideous casualties. Infact khorne biker had 2 mutant in contact, lietnaunt had contacted 3 more, including both fists. Flamer squad contacted with every model the missile launcher squad instead, leaving lone spawn surrounded by terminators. I also made sure that fallen Inquisitor cannot charge any other terminator model but power fist wielder(if he kill top 2 terminator then fist likely SPLATS the inquisitor) or lietnaunt(again if he survives he has good chance of killing her). On north mutant squad suffered serious damage as well, reducing them to 5+champpions.
All in all looking GOOD. Serious close combat at center with practically everything he has in combat, only Inquisitor is any worry.
LATD #3:
Critically furies fail to show up, this was definetly GOOD news for me. His rhino squad came next to bloodletters and unloaded. What's up? They charging the daemons of war-god? Inquisitor(after much concideration in behalf of opponent, he had both chaos marine squads, terminator squad or lietnaunt in terminator as choises) opted to charge the terminators, figuring his manreapers and S6 SHOULD kill 3 terminators. Shooting. Not much except Flamer from rhino squad burned one bloodletter.
Combats. Rhino squad charged in, lost 3 and killed 2 bloodletters in return. Not good. Flamer squad wiped floor with the poor traitor squad(rather obviously) and rest ran. Fallen Inquisitor DID infact kill 3 terminators, spawn was finished and lietnaunt+lightning claw terminator surrounded Inquisitor. Khorne lietnaunt caused 4 wounds, enough to kill both fists in contact(since the 2 other mutants were more than 2" from his model anyway thanks to combat). Khorne biker finished the other 2...On north combat was close again.
Still. Apart from terminators things were looking GOOD.
Crimson #3:
Flamer squad(though flamers were dead by now) moved into side of russ(take some POWER FIST). Khorne lietnaunt ended up next to other mutant squad, which suited me just fine
LATD #4:
Furies showed up, couldn't charge into anywhere but bloodletters(since the rhino squad was only icon left at this point and scatter was bad for him). Shooting. Russ tried to blast the rhino on east(which was heading toward safety) penetrating it easily...But rolling a 1...Damn I'm lucky in this game. Heavy bolter blew up my other rhino though. Combats. Furies charged in and killed 1 bloodletter. Final 'letter killed 2 traitor. Final traitors did nothing and I had won the combat! This caused 3 furies go "poof". Fallen Inquisitor killed the terminator(and my lascannon gunner powered up the weapon
Crimson #4:
Flamer squad went and destroyed the basilisk, khorne lietnaunt headed toward lietnaunt, rhino on right moved behind forrest. Lascannon killed the Inquisitor. In combat bloodletter died(rather obviously).
LATD #5:
Furies prepare to charge lascannon group(after I mentioned 1 dead from them and no contesting quarters with them). Heavy bolter squad tries to back away from aproaching khorne lietnaunt but double 1 on difficult terrain took care of that attempt. Combat. Furies kill none, I killed 1 in return but they passed instability check.
Crimson #5:
Khorne lietnaunt raged and charged into heavy bolter team and wiped them out easily. 3 strong missile launcher squad charged the furies and after furies failed to do anything they were wiped out to daemon. At this point we shook the hands, no LATD models onboard. I had all but his quarter, aka solid victory to me(not massacre victory since I didn't get most important quarter). Excelent result and fun to win with chaos marines for once
