Iron Moot

a Warmachine/Hordes convention held in Gothenburg, Sweden in November 2013.

The WM/H Moot will be three days of furious Warmachine/Hordes action throughout the weekend. There will be different kinds of tournaments and other events and workshops for players to attend and enjoy.

Star event of the weekend is the Nordic Invitational which is held on sunday. Best players throughout the Nordic Countries (and maybe beyond) will attend in this highly competitive event for the title of best player of the Nordic Countries!

Qualifier events will be held in each Nordic Country: Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The best player from each event will receive a place in the Invitational, regardless of player's nationality. This means the spots are kind of spread out to different countries but attending international events / events in other countries can increase your odds to gain a place in the Invitational.

The last spots in the Invitational will be dealt out during the Iron Moot weekend. We'll have 16 top players to compete in a four round event. One will be crowned as the best of the best. Will that be you?

The Iron Moot will be a convention for anyone interested in Warmachine/Hordes, not just the most competitive players. We will have events running from more casual (Theme force tournaments) to more competitive (Hardcore) so everyone should find something interesting to spend their time there on.

Note that even though all the qualifiers are organized in the Nordic Countries, this in no way means these events or the Iron Moot is limited to only Nordic players. If, for example, a German or Polish player wins one of the qualifiers, he's totally welcome to attend the Invitational. We also hope that the Iron Moot will gather players all around the Europe (maybe even from further away!) and become truly international event.

More details to come when we come nearer to the event, but we wanted to announce this now, since the first qualifiers start rolling.

Hopefully we'll see a big and enthusiast crowd in Gothenburg in November!

It's a place in the north part of Gothenburg city, called Folkets Hus Backa. It's basically a house dedicated to renting itself to different events and societies/clubs. It's got two big rooms for gaming, a cellar where we can have more tables or an on-site gaming store, a café room and some lounge areas. Lots of toilets. :) We'll also be able to drink alkohol there (which is unusual for Sweden).
