Hey.

Had this terrain piece in mind for ages. And now decided to bring the idea to life. It will be part of my jungle set, that I already have, but can be used with my dessert terrain, or any other terrain that you like.

Also trying to finish this piece for a game in May. 2 versus 2, Custodes vs Thousand son/ Red Corsairs. H

Thanks! Very soon will start painting it ^^D

More work has been done on this piece. I finally finished working on the rocks, ans filled all the gaps.
So the next step is to cut out tiles and start gluing them down, and after that making battle damage on them!

Are you going to pave all the foamcore with a similar type of tiles or will it just be a walkway on the middle?

This is going to be one epic piece of terrain, the composition is well thought out and the attention to detail is certainly there. Doing the tiles from plastic like that is very time consuming but the results more than make up for it. Is the rockface made out of actual pieces of rock? It looks really nice but I personally hate working with natural stones and rock in miniatures. :) But that may just be because of the lack of access to sedimentary rocks that are easier to work with and naturally form more miniature friendly textures than igneous rock.

Hey there! Thank you for the comment. No, thats not actual rock. I went to an aquarium shop near me, and I saw this textured stuff there. One sheet of it costed 80 euros, but I got it for 25. It looks like Styrofoam, or that foam that they put in the windows, but pressed together. So I just thought it will save me some time texturing the entire thing my self, and got it. Still happy that I did.

It was a while since the last time I gave you an update to this piece!
I finished building it and priming. With the paint on, it looks fantastic, very pleased with how it came out.
The reason why it took so long to finish building the stairs, is because it took 4 week for the plastic card to arrive. Sorry for that.

This is epic on so many levels. I really like the impacts, details and damages on stairs, and those small marines as statues gives nice vibes of age and history of this place.

Thank you man! The small statues where not planed ^^D I added them only when I started putting the entire thing together ^^D
