Let’s play Kings of War Ambush!
950 points with Ambush army compositon rules,
(with two exceptions: no units (including magic items) over 200 points, allies allowedx)
Max 5 games, played on the KoW Mondays or freely.
The spring league starts on 24 April and ends on 12 June.
Playing field 4x4 `
Scenario= roll D6 (1=Invade, 2=Push, 3=Pillage, 4=Dominate, 5=Control, 6=Raze). If other players previous match was
the one rolled, re-roll. If both want, re-roll.
Points are awarded as follows for max 5 games.
Win = 3 pt
Draw = 2 pt
Loss = 1 pt
Extras:
First game of KoW = 2 pt (First game with this army = 1 pt)
Second game of KoW = 2 pt
Fully painted army = 1 pt
Newly painted unit = 1 pt
Genuine snake eyes = 1 pt (rolling 2 for nerve, when that is the only way to fail the roll)
Clocked more than 45 mins (not including First or Second game) = -1 pt
Ambush scenario rules:
Pillage: Use D3+2 Objec=ve Markers.
Dominate: Decrease the size of the scoring zone to 9” from the centre of the playing area.
Control: There are only four squares on the table rather than six. The square that is on your right and on the opposite side of the table will give you the two Victory Points.
Raze: Use 2 Objec=ve Markers each.
Plunder: Use three Loot Counters on a 3’x3’ table. Rather than players choosing, the central counter is the single
Primary Loot Counter.
Ambush Army compositon rules in a nutshell:
You can include as many Troops and Regiments as you like
Each Troop or Regiment in the army unlocks:
• Hero
• Monster
• Titan
• War Engine
• Irregular Unit (
Hordes and Legions may not be taken in games of Ambush!
Each Hero, Monster, Titan or War Engine may only be taken once.
You may take a combined total of three Heroes, Monsters, Titans and War Engines.
Nothing unique (1) allowed
Irregular unit must be ‘unlocked’ by a regular Troop or
Regiment
Units with the Fly special rule are treated as irregular
Use Mantic Companion and choose “Ambush”, you’ll get it right.. Only exceptions are the no over 200pt units and
allies allowed.

Kings of War is a rank and flank miniature wargame developed and published by Mantic Games. The game is now in its 3rd Edition.
