Welcome to the Helsinki Kings GT Kings of War tournament!

The tournament is played on 28th and 29th of October 2023 at Nopat & Taktiikka clubhouse (Karvaamokuja 4, Helsinki). Space for 20 players.
Rounds
5 rounds, 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday.
The tournament is played with Swiss pairing.
Armies
2000 points, allies allowed (up to 500 points).
Rules
The tournament uses latest rules changes and FAQs. The withdraw rule is in use.
Custom rules
The tournament introduces a custom rule ”The Kings of Suits”
Scoring
The scoring is based on Northern Kings system
Scenarios
1. Dominate, 2. Pillage, 3. Control, 4. Push, 5. Invade
Hobby
Painting is scored with people’s choice.
Clocks
75 minutes / player. In case of time out: dice down, movement is allowed.
Scoring details
Each game scores the winner 15 tournament points (TP), the loser 5 TP and both 10TP in case of a draw.Additionally all players can have extra scenario points worth up to 5 TP. Furthermore all players are awarded kill points worth up to 5 TP. The maximum points for a game is 25 and minimum is 5.
Hobby
All players with fully painted armies score 5 TP
All players vote for their favorite armies. The top armies are awarded 5 to 20 TP.

The Kings of Suits
In the beginning of the tournament each player draws 5 cards from a standard deck of cards.
A card can be played immediately after the player's 4th and 5th turns on any game of the tournament.
So, from zero to two cards per game. Each card can only played once.
The cards not yet played are shown to the opponent.
Each card has an immediate effect on the game.
Spades: Make a Nerve test to any enemy unit immediately.
King of spades: Make the nerve test with -2 nerve modifier.
Clubs: Select one of your own units. Any enemy units in 6 inches of the chosen unit takes 1 damage. No nerve test is made for the units.
King of Clubs: Increase the damage-dealing-distance to 9 inches.
Diamonds: Select one of your own units. Next turn the unit has the Very Inspiring rule.
King of Clubs: All your units have the Inspiring rule for the next turn.
Hearts: Select one of your own units. Remove D6 damage from the unit.
King of Hearts: Select two of your own units. Remove D6 damage from the units.

Winning the game - Score the Unit Strength (US) for each unit that has the majority of its footprint within 12” of the center of the playing area at the end of the game. The player with the highest total score is the winner.

Kill Point Scoring - 1 point 300-699, 2 points 700-999, 3 points 1000–1399, 4 points 1400–1699, 5 points 1700+

Winning the Game - Score 1 for each zone you control add +1 if you control the middle zone in your opponent’s half. The player with the highest total score is the winner.
