The GW Drinking Game!
This is a repost of an item I tossed into the group about a year ago - somebody else was chatting about a GW drinking game earlier, so I figured, heck, why not?
Well... the RGMW drinking game seems to have met with favorable results, even though some people can't play it (as Corin Nichols told me, it's hard to play the game in a computer lab when the teachers are watching...). So I guess I ought to offer the actual wargame version. So, with regards to GW players of all games and preferences, I now offer the painfully abridged and unspeakably generic...
DRINKING GAME FOR PLAYERS OF GW MINIATURES WARGAMES
This revised set of rules is intended to be generic, so as to cover players of Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Man O' War, Epic and even Space Fleet as well as 40K and Fantasy Battles. As before, be sure that you are legally entitled to be consuming your beverage of choice. So, here we go....
When playing a GW miniatures game, each player drinks the specified number of sips when the following situations occur:
When ANY special character bites the dust: 5 drinks (yay!!!!)
You declare weapon fire and find the shot to be out of range - 1 drink
Every time one has to put down the miniatures to play with CARDS to determine the effects of magic/psychic powers - 2 drinks
When you or your opponent has maxed out on the special character point allottance (i.e brought 1500 points of character to a 3000 point game), before the game begins -- 5 drinks each (10 each if you BOTH have!)
Every time an unmodifiable save is missed (I rolled a 1 for my power field.. NO!!!!) -- 2 drinks
When ANY unit fails a morale check - 1 drink
If the same unit is later routed - 2 additional drinks
When a reroll of any kind is made, for any reason (including a cocked die) - 1 drink
When that reroll is worse than the original roll - 2 drinks
The winner of any initiative roll must take - 1 drink (to balance things out..)
For every three models/figs/stands that 'die' from either side - 1 drink
If a die rolls off the table, the person who rolled it takes - 2 drinks
Whenever any scatter die shows 'Hit' - 1 drink
Whenever a template weapon fails to hit anything - 2 drinks
For every WYSIWYG-related complaint from ANY player, ALL players must take - 3 drinks
Anyone rolls double ones - 1 drink
Each jam that is rolled on sustained fire dice - 1 drink
When the artillery dice roll MISFIRE - 2 drinks
When an artillery & scatter roll shows HIT and MISFIRE - 5 extra drinks (BOOM!)
For every full 100 points of units from either side that are not currently on the board in some form (i.e. flying high, in reserve, delayed by a strategy card, blood bowler falls into crowd, etc.) - 2 drinks
Every time a model GAINS a wound back (medic help, healing spell, or any other reason) - 1 drink
When an ork player does any kind of imitation of orky speech - 1 drink
For every unusual sound effect that your gaming group uses during a game to describe models getting killed (blort! ping! splortch! gak!) - 1 drink
Any time the words "cheese" or "cheesy" are spoken - 2 drinks
When an assasin (40K or Fantasy Battle) "casts off his disguise" and appears on the board - 3 drinks
(Blood Bowl)If someone pummels the referee - 3 drinks (Tweeeeeeeeet!)
If a miniature is broken/falls apart during the course of a game - 5 drinks
Every time someone has to quickly glue together or repair a mini before they put said mini on the field - 2 drinks
For every non-GW mini on the board - 100 drinks (I DO NOT support this rule, but some black-suited guys from GW said that if I didn't put this one in here, they would hunt me down and take away all my miniatures. Consider this an optional rule, okay?!?!? => Yes, easily-offended folks, this is a joke. Chill! GW is not an Evil Empire! Forgive my poor taste!)
Whenever a die is rolled that is NOT a d6 - 1 drink
(EPIC) - if someone actually FIELDS a named character - 3 drinks
Tom Beliech (who still doesn't even drink...)
