lisäänpä itsekkin armeijani fluffin tänne jotta ihmiset saavat pilkata fluffivirheitä, nillittää yksityiskohdista ja todeta etten osaa kirjoittaa hyvää tekstiä ihan reilun pelni nimissä

Sons of Corax

Origins
Sons of Corax was one of the chapters found at the 5th Founding. It was based on Raven Guard by both geneseed and training. Their training was started in Mars under inspection of Lord Kaiser, the leader of Raven Guards 5th company. After two decades of training they were found loyal to Empire and pure of geneseed. Many thought this as a good thing, since Raven Guards geneseed had allways been unstable.
Kaiser was given the rank of Force Commander and under his lead the first two hundred Sons of Corax left Mars to wage war upon enemies of Imperium. Their first mission started soon, when they received a call for help from Dawn Knights space marines. Their fortress monastery was under attack by dark eldar raiders who had laid an ambush near Imperial outpost of Syrine. The battle had lasted for two weeks and the dark eldar had lost over half of their number. Still the losses of Dawn Knights were even greater and the raiders had managed destroy all of their defencife fighters and board the fortress.
The Sons of Corax jumped out from warp right in middle of the dark eldar fleet and opened fire. The raiders were taken by surprise and the Kaiser was able to board the main ship of the enemy fleet with his bodyguard. They attacked the command center where the dark eldar lord Naechius, archon of Kabal of Severed Fist was waiting for them. While other marines consentrated on killing the crew and destroying the ship controls Kaiser challenged the xenos lord. Kaiser was experienced warrior but so was Naechius. Their duel lasted for hours without neither one getting the upper hand. Finally Kaiser managed to push Naechius against a control panel and thrusted his sword through him. Then the marines left the doomed ship before reinforcements had time to arrive.
With the destruction of their lord the dark eldar paniced and started to withdraw. They were cut off by Imperial fleet that had also received the call for help.
The Dawn Knights were saved, but they had so great losses that they were forced to retreat to their homeworld of Harrus. Sons of Corax escorted them and stayed at Harrus to rest and repair their ships. Within week a ship arrived bringing an emissary from Terra. His news were not good. The dawn Knights had suffered so great losses that they could no longer survive as they had lost too much geneseed. Thus they were given an order to start an crusade and die fighting for Emperor. The fortress moanstery was given to Sons of Corax as an reward for their bravery.
So Sons of Corax became a crusading chapter, travelling from system to system fighting all enemies they could find and retaking worlds that had fallen into hands of the enemy.
Eventually Kaiser fell in combat and was placed within sargofagus of a living dreadnought and one of his leutenants took his place as Chapter Master.

Homeworld
Sons of Corax is a crusading chapter. They established a chapter keep in every world they conquered but don’t have a homeworld as such. They were founded on Mars and many of their teachings and holy writings prefer Mars as the home of chapter.

Combat Doctrine
Sons of Corax have abandonned the Codex Astartes almost completely. Sons of Corax make great use of assault marines and bikes, striking enemy from ambushes, dropping troops in the middle of battle with thunderhawks and drop pods. They have limited number of vehicles since vehicles would only slow them down and require additional drop ships.
Because of this they do not work well with other chapters, mostly those who follow the Codex to letter.

Organisation
The chapter is divided into Forces that vary from less than an hundred to several hundred marines. Each Force is led by Force Commander who leads his men by his own desire. The fortress monastery is led by Chapter Master who is also leader of the Circle, an secret society inside the chapter.

Beliefs

Kaiser believed in three things before anything else. Strenght of body, purity of spirit and faith in Emperor and he showed no respect to those who were weak in these virtues. Soon the Sons of Corax realised only way to rise in ranks was to prove themselves worthy in rituals ordered by Kaiser. Slowly the chapter became filled with zealots who showed no fear nor mercy in combat.
The marines of Sons of Corax are divided into following categories:
Neophyte: these are marines who haven’t yet passed any of the tests. They form the tactical and scout squads and are usually led by one of Initiates.
Initiate: those marines who have passed one of the three tests are called Initiates. They are usually squad leaders but also form squads of them own, usually as assault marines or bikers. Those marines who are crippled too badly may never rise above rank in initiate.
Revered: those marines who have passed two of the three tests are called Revered ones. They usually form command squads and take units of Initiates in to battle. Almost all of dreadnoughts are Revered.
Circle: those marines who manage to pass all three tests are taken into the secret group called the Circle. Members of the Circle lead the Forces into combat and decide where the Sons of Corax travel. Leader of the Circle is the current Chapter Master. Those Force Commanders who still serve as dreadnoughts are allowed to keep their position in the Circle.

Geneseed

At first many thought that Sons of Corax didn’t posses the same genetic flaws as Raven Guard. But they were wrong. Their skin still turns to white and hair to black, allthought the change is slower and usually takes over several centuries before the effects of the curse can be clearly seen by outsiders, but the members of chapter can spot the changes in their kin (both in chapter and in other offspring of Corax) sooner.

Battlecry
As Sons of Corax prefer to attack by surprise, the don’t have battlecry as such. Sometimes they leave a graffito on destroyed enemy vehicle or building with text:” For Corax”.

Todella laadukas fluffi. Siellä on ainakin yksi hauska typo (assaul marines). 2 viikko on jo aika paljon...

kiitos huomautuksesta, korjasin typon :-)

Chapter Master Alheimen

Current leader of Sons of Corax is known by the name Alheimen. He was recruited from Mordia when Sons of Corax helped to destroy a chaos cult among with many young men to replace the fallen marines.
Alheimen was zealous man pure of spirit and strong in faith and rose to rank of Initiate before gaining Black Carapace.

His true strenght was realised when he was fighting as a part of Force led by Kaiser himself. Kaiser was leading an attack against ork outpost. Alheimen was then one of Black Guard, an elite assault squad of Sons of Corax. Kaiser and his Force assaulted the outpost with drop pod and thunderhawk assault and took the orks by surprise. Kaiser noticed Alheimens strenght when he killed three nobs in single duel.
After the battle Kaiser announced that Alheimen was ready to participate in Ritual of Faith. As he had suspected, Alheimen passed and was taken as part of the Circle.

When Alheimen was given the Cloak of Faith Kaiser summoned the Circle and suggested that the Sword of Chapter Master is given to Alheimen. Many of the Circle supported Kaiser and after the vote, Alheimen became the new leader of Sons of Corax.

The first command Alheimen gave was to travel to Terra and face the Inquisition. For decades Ordo Hereticus had demanded the Sons of Corax to face the Inquisition who were not happy that a space marine chapter had abandonned Codex Astartes and preached their own Creed. Alheimen was interrigationed by Inquisitor Lord Nephente. Nephente questioned Alheimen for a week and for that time the Fortress monastery stood still in orbit of Terra.

After the interrigation Nephente told the High Council of Ordo Hereticus that sons of Corax were not heretics but faithful serveants of Imperium. He also declared that he had decided to assist Alheimen in his crusade and joined his personal fleet in the fleet of Sons of Corax. Many other inquisitors saw this as a bad sign, that Alehimen had somehow brainwashed Nephente to support his cause. Still the complainments never reached official hearings, because there were no evidence of foul play.

Under the command of Alheimen the Sons of Corax and Inquisitorial Fleet turned their crusade to galactic north even past Province Nordica in order to bring more systems under the influence of Imperium. After two years of searching they found a new system inhabited by men and orks. The system was sparsely inhabited by human population who had arrived before Age of Stryfe and whose level of technology level had dropped into feral level. After liberating the system Alheimen and Nephente took the system as part of the Imperium and Sons of Corax started to civilize the population when the call to arms from Cadia arrived to them.
Alheimen had no other choise but to stop their crusade and head to Cadia with a new army of Feral Imperial Guard fighters.

When the 13th Crucade began Alheimen hastly ordered the Eagles Eyrie, the main base of the Chapter, to change cource towards Cadia. Now Sons of Corax are arriving to Cadia sector in masse along with reinforcements, including forces from Edenheim, Armageddon, Severrius, Unberen and other imperial worlds. Alheimen has managed to gain control a system near Cadia and is using it as base of operations in Cadia system. Most people see that he feels guilty for arriving too late to take part in main assaults against Crusade and is now trying to make up for it.

Kokonaisuuten antaisin tälle kouluarvosanan 9+ hyvää työtä daider, keep it going!!!

daider kirjoitti:Kaiser believed in three things before anything else. Stenght of body, purity of spirit and faith in Emperor and he showed no respect to those who were week in these virtues.
Typo vai ontuuko englantini?

nilitystä:
daider kirjoitti:Kaiser noticed Alheimens strenght when he killed three nobs in single duel

Muuten mielestäni todellakin laadukasta fluffia.

JA sirltä puuttui myös niitä "a" ja "the" juttuja.

Kyllä muuten oikein mielenkiintoista tekstiä!

typolua typoilua...

nobit tulivat yksi kerrallaan päälle hollywoodmaisesti ja jos olisin käyttänyt ilmaisua "killed three nobs in combat alone" olisi joku saattanut saada kuvan että hän tappoi pelkästään kolme nobia, mikä ei olisi läheskään yhtä kova asia. Ja eiköhän orkeille 3vs1 ole ihan hyväksyttävä "kaksintaistelu" ;-)
Liian pitkä aika siitä kun viimeksi opiskelin englantia joten kirjoitus ontuu hieman eli jokaista "a" ja "the" liitettä en osaa laittaa oikeisiin kohtiin.

hieno teksti

a ja the on kait partikkeleita , muistaakseni ainakin.
