The silence of the Infinity Circuit had a calming effect on the mind of Farseer Adarereientobieltannerath, more commonly known as Adar the Moonshade, one of the most revered Farseers of Craftworld Biel-Tan. He had earned his name when he had served as a Striking Scorpion in one of the thousands of Shrines dedicated to Khaine the Bloody-Handed God. He was hoping to get a new name for his days as a Farseer, but that wish was nothing of true nature or interest.
Adar let his mind wander freely on the Infinity Circuit, sensing all minds of those Eldar who had once lived but now had joined the Craftworld. Adar's mind touched many of their minds. Some were great heroes, Exarchs and Farseers who had lived thousands of years ago. Some minds belonged to ghosts of common artisans, diplomats and artists. Some minds were just a children's minds. Those slain by sword or fire on young age had been guided here to be teached by the spirits of the old. These times were grim for the Eldar. It had been so since the Fall and the birth of She-Who-Thirsts.
The thoughts of this feared Eldar nemesis they had once created in their pride caused fear, hatred and suffering in the souls of Infinity Circuit. Adar quickly dismissed those thoughts in order to let the honoured dead sleep in peace.
With sadness Adar came back to his own body. It took a few seconds for him to get his senses to work as normal. Then he put on his ancient Ghosthelm on and left the chamber. He climbed few stairs up and entered his personal transport. His sister was waiting for him there. "Asuryan's blessing upon you, honoured Farseer", she greeted him. "The gods smile on you as well, loved sister", he replied and sat next to her sister. "I have the honour, bhaderran", he continued. "My thoughts are now with you, as is my soul" he finished his part of the ritual, and nodded. Even thought he was a Farseer, he still loved and honoured his sister enough to lower himself in this ritual. By calling his sister bhaderran, he had basically given her a wide variety of rights that they both knew, and they were stricktly narrowed on this conversation. No mon-keigh could ever understand the complexity of these rituals.
"My heart cheers for this opportunity to speak with you, loved brother", his sister replied and made a small gesture with her hand, giving Adar some insight of her feelings. "Now then, what is the purpose of this pleasant but somewhat suprising visit?" asked Adar, and added: "for I feel that you have an urgent matter you wish to discuss with me."
His sister nodded and laid her hand on Adar's hand. "I have come to you to ask for guidance and solitude only a brother could give", she said with a deep concern and worry echoing in her voice. "Then ask for it", replied Adar and took his Ghosthelm off.
His sister was very quiet at first, but then she started to talk: "I have decided to take a new Path on my life. I was kind of thinking about the aspect of Howling Banshee, but I would like you to cast your runes and see to my future, as I feel that there is something else as well that I should do."
Adar nodded and rose up in the moving transport. He placed his Ghosthelm on his head and started casting his wraithbone runes. The runes started to glow and they circled around Adar. Adar activated those he most needed with his psychic powers and then he waited and examined what the runes could tell.
What he saw was very chaotic. First he saw her sister to take the place in one of the Howling Banshee Shrines. She would be a dedicated and much respected warrior, and she would survive her time serving in the Shrine. Adar noticed a hint of possibility she herself would turn into Exarch was all but possible without proper guidance. Then started the chaotic part.
Thousands of possible fates swirled around him. Most of them were grim or sad, but some would lead her to happiness and joy that would last until the end of her life. What she would have to do was a total mystery still, but Adar's heart felt light for the knowledge that his sister would survive her battles to come.
Adar told his sister what he had learned of her fate and her tension seemed to melt a bit. His sister nodded and then spoke: "It calms my mind to hear that. I shall remember your words, Adar." Adar felt the warmth inside him, called as "love" by the mon-keigh but something that took about fifteen minutes to describe in the Eldar tongue. "I am pleased that my words had a calming effect on your spirit, dear Alanaya", he said.
His sister smiled to him, and that expression made her face glow in a way that even Lileath would have envied her. "Goodbye, dear brother", she whispered, and opened the door of the ship. "Goodbye, my sister", whispered Adar and followed his sister's steps, but only to meet his Warlocks. The future of Alanaya had revealed more than just the future of his sister. Doom was coming.
