New player looking for a club/group

Hi lads,

I'm an English guy living in Helsinki and have recently started playing 40k (about 6-7 weeks now) and am currently looking for a club or something that have decent sized games on a regular basis.

I've played a few games at the GW in Kamppi but i know the lads there don't like games going over 1k points due to it taking too long and would really like to have a blast at some larger games once i've got enough models for it.

I'm currently working up to a 1500 point Ultra 3rd company army, could field a 1500 pooint army now with the models I have but it would be far from optimal as I still need some fast attack and a heavy transport.

Place to play is the shop called Halfmoon games in kaisaniemi - in finnish Puolenkuun pelit. Helsinki has a gaming club which is called Marginaalipelien Basaari, located in vuosaari http://marginaalipelienbasaari.foorumit.org/index.php they play a wide range of games including 40k, fantasy, WM/H, Mordheim etc.

Alright cheers lads, I noticed they do a tournament at that puolenkuun pelit every saturday so will prob try and get a 1500 point together for next saturday n pop in.

The tournament in PKP is down to its last round. That means that there should be opponents to play 1500p games, but it also means that that it will most likely end in a week or two. Of course that doesn't prevent you from going there next weekend, but it's not really a long term solution.

Puolenkuun Pelit will continue having WAR!-weekends with Saturday as open gaming day and Sunday as Warmachine Nightfall campaign, as well as Battle days on Wednesdays. Whenever possible, we'll try to organize possibility to play tournament sized (1,5k~) games on a proper table. The 40k Campaign Lunar Prime will end in a couple of weeks, but our store is often visited by a great crew of dedicated 40k players. Perhaps you can share contact information and agree game dates through Puolenkuun Pelit. If you have questions or would like to play a match or two, just send me a Private message.
