40K:n huhuja tulevasta

Ajattelin että kerään pidemällä jänteellä tähän threadiin linkkejä huomion arvoisiin huhuihin 40k:n puolelta.

Yritän pitää threadin informatiivisena sisältäen vain lyhyitä introja huhun sisältöön ja linkin itse paikalle (dakkadakka, portent, gw-board etc...).

Pyrkimyksenä on myös pitää threadi sisältämässä vain linkit huhuihin (linkit uusiin huhuihin tervetulleita), eli ei kommentointia.

Mielessä on pidettävä myös että huhut ovat yleensä vain huhuja, jotkut niistä osoittautuvat harvemmin tosiksi.

Ok gang, just got done talking to my local GW store manager- apparently he's seen the codex, or at least the lists.. so here is all the info I got out of him.

Lost & the Damned :
First off, you CANNOT give marks of Chaos to ANY units, period. (The HQ might get it, I forgot to ask this.. it would seem logical) There are various mutations that mimic marks, but only certain units can get these. You can take CSM units as allies, just like the DH list. With ONE exception: Heavy Support.. you can't get it, No Pred, No Dread, No Raider and certainly no Defiler. Interestingly I realized you can get Noise marine and Plague Marine Havocs since once they are marked the unit is an Elite.

HQ: You can get an "Arch-Heretic".. apparently comparable to a Chaos Lord (yeesh)

Elites: Mutants: These are units that I talked about above.. they can get various mutations that can be considered marks, IE Horns/Claws give +1 str (Khorne), Plague gives 4+ save (Nurgle), the "Slaanesh" one givesyou a fast move like bikes or cavalry (Remember those new Beastmen centigors? hehehe).

Troops: Traitors- these are the basic troops, 5-15 in a unit, with 1 heavy weapon team and/or 1 special weapon. otherwise they are guardsmen in all respects- except that if the squad numbers 10 or less, they can be mounted in a chimera Or rhino. They can also take "demon swarms" Think Undivided Nurglings (they also do not count toward your compulsary choices)

Fast Attack: Warhound pack- 5-20 in a unit!!!!! Use the CSM wargear stats. Also... get ready for this...... a Spawn pack! 2-10 spawns in 1 group... omg I can't wait. (once again, use the CSM stats) Apparently they can also field sentinels, hellhounds and Mabye empty chimeras

Heavy Support: Not much... basically a looted (Basic) Leman Russ and something about "Big Mutants with Mob Weapons"... think Strength 4
lasguns. Interesting note on vehicles.... you may only have 1 for each unit of traitors in the army.. this applies to the FA vehicles as well.

Ulthwe Strike force
As we suspected, No vehicles, or Wraithlords. Just Guardians, Aspect Warriors, Bikes, Vypers, and Support Platforms. Everything is a Black Guardian.. EVERYTHING is BS 4. You may only have 1 unit of each type of Aspect warrior except Reapers, who are 1+. The Guardians may get "sergeants" on top of Warlocks. But here's the downside........ Since the whole force attacks from the webway.. if the unit fails a leadership test due to shooting/combat.. they are Wiped Out! To balance that the guardians can get "Eldrad stones" which give them LD 10 or something.

13th Company:
Not that different from normal space wolves.. the only thing the the guy could remember is they have NO vehicles, can only take Long Fangs as HS and the Rune Priest power is "Gate" they can use it to teleport as squad as an extra move (Similiar to the Monolith power)

Cadians:
The only thing new I heard is that the Whiteshields, while being
"junior" guardsmen, are equipped the same as guard with a lasgun, 5+ armor and frag grenades. But they are BS & WS 2.

me know some more. All in all... it sounds like they did a Great job on the
book.. I can't wait.

Includes the Relictors chapter index astares as noted previously. About 2-3 pages of fluff related to them. Used to be Fire Hawks chapter, founder during the age of apostesty, use daemon weapons. On the daemon weapons front I believe you pay 25-30 pts to roll a d6 on a selection of DW (Darkblade, Axe of Khorne,etc.) The Axe of Khorne is considered a DW in this case. You may also elect to roll for some of the incons and banners instead like Banner of Rage, Blasted Standard, the Nurgle banner, etc. You may only take radical inquisitors and their related items/army selections (ie daemonhosts) as allies, no others. Also the fluff states that their relative proximity to the EOT has resulted in more psykers than normal giving them a higher ration of librarians in the army. However I didn't see where this panned out in the army selection as in additional psyker powers but maybe I missed it.

Also as mentioned previously were the armies for EOT and their alignment. The one thing that caught my eye was that Tau were listed on forces of disorder chart while Kroot mercenaries were listed on forces of order. Might be pointing to something about the Tau that we don't know yet as their true purposes??

Also Cypher returns with new rules. Dont want to print stats here so I will say that he is the same pts as before and stats and can be taken in CSM or IG army. Also he stil has the same rules as last time except that if he is killed the opposing player rolls a d6 and can capture him on a 6. Either way they still get the VP even if he escapes but on the 6 he is assumed to have been physically captured only to escape later, not sure what the point of this is. Also I didnt get a chance to see how you treat a squad of Fallen if taken. Under the old rules you treated them as vet. CSM but that is gone now.

One random thing to note. I spoke with some folks at Glen Burnie and the IG Codex is done and ready to be released late summer so that is definite so whatever EOT IG stuff will be consistent w/ new codex.

Ruma pää on optionaalinen kiinnitettävä afaik Huomatkaa kuinka suuri se on oikeasti, dreadnought konversionit ovat olleet paljon pienempiä foot-printiltään. Koko tulee olemaan vehiclen sisäänrakennettu haitta, samoin kuten raiderin suuri siluetti.

<B>EOT tietoja:</B>

Storm Guardians are confirmed. Pastic box w/ new metal arms (not the DA Exarch arms). No solid answer on how many models per box.

Cypher is stirring up rebellion all along a chunk of the Cadian Gate area of the galaxy. The scabbard across his back (which held the Lion Sword) is empty. No word on where the Lion Sword is however... maybe Cypher's found a way to get it closer to Terra?

The 'Mars Schism' plotline - dealing with the C'tan on Mars will be further explored. The guys I was talking to were *very* cagey about answering this one, and were being purposefully vague. Sounds like the rumors of getting a third C'tan are solidifying more and more.

Necrons, Thousand Sons, and Dark Eldar are all (sperately) attacking the Black Library in the campaign. Eldar will be defending (duh). This one sounds really nasty.

Tau will be pushing in from their homeworlds in the galactic eastern fringe. Simultaneously, the Tyranid Hivefleets will come in from below. The Imperium's defense will rely almost solely on the Ultramarines for this one. There was nothing that indicated whether this would be a three-sided battle, or if the Tau would be supporting the 'Greater Good' of not letting the 'Nids eat a chunk out of the Imperium.

Two Blackstone Fortresses are confirmed to be active... under who's control they didn't say, but Abaddon is a safe bet. The Blackstones are both "MAJOR targets for the Necrons". This would seem to confirm the general supposition the the Blackstones are, in fact, the 'Talismans of Vaul'.

The Lost and the Damned will seemingly be more than just Chaos IG. "They will be all of the armies that have fallen to Chaos". While I won't hold my breath for 'Chaos Tau', 'Chaos Eldar', 'Chaos Orks', or 'Chaos Sisters' (renegade nuns with guns!); it does imply that it will include at least all of the Imperium's formerly-loyal forces.

Nothing that we haven't heard before... some scavenged chaos equipment (armour plates, bolters etc.) a greater percentage of Wulfen (or something like them... you don't spend a few millenia in the Eye of Terror and not get a little f'ed up I suppose ).

Funny side note: Someone asked what is going to be done with the Space Wolves, and Josh (GW) asked the Audience if one of us players wanted to field that question. So I did, and got nods of confirmation from all the Staffers on stage

Nothing specific was mentioned or asked at this session, but last I herd Typhus was a major Player in the Campaign, as the plagues hittting the frontline worlds are a large part of Abaddon's tactics.

The paint pot change (same bottles as current, but with new flip-top tops on the screw-on lids) was confirmed for late this year / early next year.

Major Midwest and east coast expansions are planned for the US. I talked for a while with Ryan (GW) about the expansion plans and what GW hopes to accomplish with them. The long and short of it is this: GW will establish a Batlle Bunker / Warhammer World type of place in city X, surrounded by of their retail stores. The numbers weren't 100% specific, but the plans are to do this to 15+ more cities in the next two years!

Plastic boxed set of Cadian Heavy Weapons, 3 per box, 3 weapon options per box (my guess would be Lascannons, Heavy Bolters and Missile Launchers, but they didn't specify).

Any to hit rolls of '1' from a cadian squad can be re-rolled. "No Cadian can miss that badly".

Umm... not specifically 40k but cool anyway: Slaaneshi Daemonettes on Steeds of Slaanesh were on display. Awesome models! I already thought that the new Daemonettes were fantastic, and the new Steeds are absolutley wicked looking. They look *really* fast, and the riders are in great poses too.
