Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
Ja tulikin tässä mieleen. Mitenkäst me halutaan kommunikoida meidän ulkomaanvahvistuksen kanssa? :D

Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
Raportteja voi kirjoitella varmaan kummin vaan, mutta hauskaahan se toki on jos jaksaa vääntää englanniksi, niin Alesillakin on jotain luettavaa. Voin vaikka yrittää ensimmäisenä.
The veteran team Blizwaargh! returned to the field, opposing the new lizard team Chaquan Skitterers. The Skitterers got 700k as inducements for the mach: they hired a mercenary kroxigor, as well as Slibli the star-player. They also got 2 babes, a reroll and a 100k Good Karma -card (!). The game was played in a horrible Blizzard, which lasted almost the whole game.
Lizardmen attacked first. The lizards got a touchback, and handed the ball to a skink. Soon there was a huge brawl, spanning almost the whole middle line of the field, as the reinforced saurus-front bashed against the black orks and blizers. With a few lucky hits, sauruses managed to hit two orcs to KO in the first rounds of bashing. Right side was cleared, and the skinks rushed in quickly, with some saurus support. Orcs managed to catch up with the attack, but not soon enough, and a skink scored the first touchdown.
Orc attack started slowly, as the skink kicked the ball in the back field. There was not much time for the orcs, and the line of saurus could not be broken. As the half-time was whisled, orc attack stopped.
During the half-time, the sneaky lizardmen scattered the field with feather-pillows, squirrel-nests and moss. So, when the next orc-attack begun, the field was unusually safe, for the utter horror of the orc fans (Good Karma: -1 for armor rolls for this half). Even worse, the crafty lizards decided to take advance of the confusion in the ork ranks, and Blized before the second half was even begun. Quickly the skinks rushed to the orc half, following with 4 sauruses. When the game started, the orc half was full of lizards, and most of the orcs tied up in the line of scrimmage. The orc thrower was quickly surrounded with skinks and a saurus, but heroically tried to pass the ball. He fell on the ball, but it bounced over the sideline, and the fans throwed it near the middle of the field. But the orcs had no luck in securing the ball, and in a few rounds skinks were again all over it. In the middle of the half, the lizardmen scored a second time.
The orcs started their final attack, and managed to get the ball to the centre, but at this time the lights of the stadion started to go out, and the stadion owned informed that the game should end now. As only 1-2 rounds was left, the coaches decided that was it, and packed up.
Final score was 2-0 to lizardmen, casualties 0-1 to orcs. The orc team was plagued with a horrible luck right from the beginning, that culminated in the Bliz. Quite the contrary for the lizardmen, as they didn't have to reroll block results for a single time during the game, despite the hectic blocking game. And no problems in ball handling, either.

Itse kirjoittelee sitten ainakin raportit enkuksi.

Hiya, Ales. Thought first to send a private message about this, but the language being what it is... This might be easier.
I could be free on weekend and if you're up for it, and have a board and everything (if I recall right), we could play Saturday or Sunday in Kerttu, one of the local places we go to: http://www.kerttu.fi/index.php?o=kerttu&k=en
Lot of time and they won't ever frown at you, if you at least buy a snack or some drink. I go with cocoa and they're happy with it.

Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
That could work... If I was in Facebook. :D
I shun that place. I'm one of those who just don't want to be there. Sorry about that. Makes things complicated, but that's the way I roll.
But as it seems to me, I'm all free during the weekend, so you can just name your day and time and I'll be there.

Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
This has been busy week for humans.
Tuesday a spectacular game against orc-team Da Blitzwaaagh! and yesterday they met terrifying Fraulein Ahti's Lambs chaos team.
Orcs vs humans was great example of how Blood Bowl should be played.
Both teams played played hard, cool looking, blocking game and top of that Orcs showed some amazing, perhaps legendary, passing moves.
Not to mention the Wizards, hired by both teams, whom had significant role in a game.
Da Blitzwaagh was deep in the BM:s defensive zone, when fireball stroke the ball keeping blitzer, knocking him down.
Ball scatterered over sideline, from there over the endline and ending right in the feet of human blitzer. This started offence that couple rounds later lead to a goal, made by human thrower. (who by the way got enough SPP:s to get second skill and rolled double six on that).
Only two rounds left and orcs decided to try fast goal with Troll/Goblin combo. Exept that their emerging star thrower with skills like sure hands, acccuracy and strong arm, fumbled picking up. Humans rushed towards Troll, having two players in it's tacle zone and catchers/linemen in a area where the Gobbo would fall, if some miracles would happen in a last round.
Damn, lunch our is over. Got to get back to work.
Story will continue...
All work and no fun makes jack dull boy... I'm busy at work and have no time to play this week, but at least I'll finish the game report.
So, orcs are trying one round score.
1. picking up ball 3+
2. handing off ball 3+
3. really stupid roll 2+
4. always hungry roll 2+
5. throw team-mate 5+
6. right stuff 5+
7. dodge 3+
Not everyday moves for "agile" team like DaBlitzwaaagh!, but they do make it.
Nuffle has a twisted sense of humour, as we all know.
Second half starts with Cave-keeper telling that they are closing early today. We get three rounds of bashing 'n blocking, but nothing serious happens. No goals either.
So it's 1 - 1 for Brotherhood of Mercy vs DaBlitzwaaagh! when stadium lights go off.

Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
He wasn't feeling quite himself that night... Something terribly kept haunting his mind, like a knife in the hand of your second-in-command. But that was just usual. That was how things worked. No. This was something different. Something far... More...
And at that moment it stuck him, like millions of voices crying in pain, like daggers pierced through every inch of his skin, like his mind being pulled apart and sewn back together, only to realise the horrid pain it had endured only moments ago. He could see, hear, feel, smell or taste and yet he did all of those together in warped moment that left him lying on the ground with the taste of his own blood in his mouth, mixed with something strange, but somehow familiar. He smelled the sweet stench that he had smelled so many times before and he felt in his hands and at his feet the moist, soft tissue that he tasted in his mouth.
Then he opened his eyes and looked up to see his assistant coach, who had stood in front of him, listening his rant over the day's game, now splattered all over the room by some unknown force that yet seemed have had originated from his very paws. Pieces of the assistant head and body still hanged from his claws, feet and teeth as he stood up to see the macabre display that covered his office. He could not remember what had happened, or how, but there was one thing clear. So clear that even thinking of it threathened to take him back into the swirling abyss he had involuntarily he had only barely managed to return from.
He... Had been warned. For the great Lord, the Horned Rat... Was not pleased...
Sorry about the lengthy pre-talk, but what happened today just seemed to follow certain pattern. I like to play my games with a bit of story going along side them and just sometimes the story seems to take over in certain ways.
Long story "short": Yesterday (thanks to it being 01:00am) got played the game between the orcs of Da Blitzwaaagh! and the skaven of Rathorde's Fitnessschool. And I personally don't know if it was the very, very, very bad eye from the Horned Lord, whom saw my team truly unfit for His honour. I still haven't been able to make my own team and even dared to take near unpainted ratogre to the field...
Or was it the revenge from the other Chaos Gods, whom became enraged by my last killing spree. Or if it was just something so simple as WAAAGH! setting against me with all of its power for such small oversight of not rolling the wild animal for the ogre at the start of my first action...
Whatever the case was, the match ended in simple, brutal and almost total massacre. And I'm the one who got the short stick. The match ended with 4-1 score for the orcs. Despite halfling cooking, wizard and even Fezglitch aiding the skaven. AND! The casualties... Oh, dear Horned Lord, the casualties. 1-... 7! And I had already two guy out from my team of 13 skaven, ending up with a total of three skaven on the pitch for the whole last fourth of the game. With one cheeky gutterrunner staying K.O.:ed for the whole last fourth. Despite the orcs nailing their two last goals during that time. Lets just say there might be something to talk about later on with certain rat...
But truly. First goal goes to the orcs, second to skaven and then it was all for the orcs. Six rats got mauled, with one thrower ending up dead and one linerat escaping death and ending up with "just" broken neck, making him less mobile for future games. Ratogre taking home a serious concussion, leaving him with lowered armour value and third linerat joining them in the sickbay for the next match. Three others were less severe, thanks to Horned Rat, who spared the one who He has blessed with claw. Although he didn't get to use it during the match. Funny thing was that the linerat with broken neck ended up rolling doubles as well... And the seventh player just ended up tripping on his own legs and falling head first against the orcs' iron boots...
Oh, and the one casualty the skaven made? Which lead the ratogre with concussion getting a new skill? Troll. Who regenerated...
I doubt I need to tell anything more about the match itself, except that the rats managed to yet again drop the ball, miss passes and stumble on their own feet like usual, leaving the orcs with nothing better to do than smack them to the ground. Even the wizard, whose job was to blow up the iron curtain guarding the goblin ball carrier, managed to knock down the goblin, but left both black orcs standing between the ball and the skaven unharmed... Or how Fezglitch managed to smack one black orc three times in a row and still without making him more than a bit stunned for a moment...
Still all in all, even after every painstaking misshaps, failures, piles of rats on the sickbed... It was in its own way a fun game. Gave one orc ten points from casualties alone and a helluwa good story for the skaven to tell time after time. I really would have wanted it to be at least a little more even, but by Horned Rat was it EPIC!
4-1 score for the orcs and 7-1 casualties, with skaven eating dirt and orcs' troll regenerating their only casualty away.

Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
Nice writeup Velgar, but one slight correction. The score was 5-1, as the Blitzer who got 10 points had two TDs and two casualties, and the other Blitzer got his 9 points from three TDs.
"Uvver teams play, Blitzwaaagh kills!" ("Kaptin" Grimgor Ironjaw; Da Blitzwaaagh!)

Oh, sorry. My bad. I just had noted down 4-1 score when we finished. But there was so much happening all around us that it's small wonder I got it even that close. :D
But yeah. Now that you mention it, 5-1 does sound more dreadfully familiar...

Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
So, who is up for some game witj me this week?
Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
Like the tradition stands, report comes up during the day after the match itself. This time Horned Rat tried to smile at His chosen race, but since He still was angry at them for not having proper team... Well, you'll see. And really. Demonlord smiling? It's bound to be more like a grin anyway.
This time the field was covered by hideous stench. What else could you get from pile of rats mixed with the undead? Namely Rathorde's Fitnessscool and the Coffin Fillers! A match were CF was plagued by the horrid curse of the mummies (which performed admirably in return for their misshapped curse and sure as heck left "lasting impression" on couple of the skaven), but where the great Lord of the Rats also saw fit to meddle even in His own people's game. And not in a good way.
First half of the game was simply skaven fun for the whole family. With the rat-coach using his re-rolls only at the very end, 'cose... He had some, so why not? Where as the undead-coach was cursing the mummies for giving him their curse for disturbing the rest of a mummy. Still the first half saw only one goal, which went to RF, much to the joy of huge crowd of rats, whom had attented the game to see how the ill-favored sons of the Horned Rat could perform after the last times beat-down. There was only one thousand fans missing from making the day's audience score for the rats five times greater than that of the undead. This also might have had some effect on the undead-team's moral. The first half did nearly see the first goal for the undead as well, but in the end the blood lust of one the ghouls ruined that possibility. Casualty-wise the first half did explain the ghoul's thirst for blood, as there was one casualty from the get go. With one of the mummies making short work of ratmen's journeyman linerat. This was not far later joined by payback in the form of badly hurt wight, who failed his regeneration roll. And after that another rat and handful of players stashed to knockout-box, which was rather comfy, since both teams had some trouble getting their players out of them.
The second half saw the first goal for the undead, but only after the skaven managed to get their quick feet through the now two players short undead line to score their second touchdown. Which was then rewarded by dead linerat. Was this revenge for the goals or grim reminder for the ratcoach, that even though he was winning, there was still homage to be paid for the great Horned Rat, in the form of a complete and all original team? You decide. In the end, due to the beginner-status of both teams and what I'd like to know call a clerical error, for all the kicks and giggles, the undead teams necromancer was having a lunch break and didn't raise the dead liner until the end of the game. The great Horned Rat didn't miss this though and regardless of being proud of His lackeys for being sneaky and all, He got angry at the coach for not being so on purpose and at the last round of the skaven, the undead were just one short run away from making the second goal, but had one linerat to deal with, or they would have, if not for the linerat's friend, who failed to free the first one from opponents tacklezone AND getting himself beaten while being a failure of a skaven to begin with. Pure happenstance had once again stood in the skavens way, which lead to another undead touchdown. It might not have helped bring the game to draw, but the rat-coach still made a dire promise for the skaven Lord below(?), to fix the team up by the time of the next match.
And so ended the game with 3-2 score for the ratmen and casualties of 3-1, also with more landing on the skaven side. Another skaven down, another taken armour value penalty... I really, really, really need to get those figurines done...
And Ales, you did buy the necromancer for your team, yes? 'Cose without it, you won't get the zombie (skaven) either.
Re: Blood Bowl -liigan 15. kausi
One minor correction, as that seems to be becoming a trend as well...
The casualties during the last match were actually 4-1. Forgot my star player, who got badly hurt, but whom the healer managed to get back in shape. Which in a way cost me the one linerat, but a blitzer with guard and claw back in play early on in the game against linerat with only one mvp under his belt... Meeeh... As we say in the Underempire: Ten slaves is always a better choice than one clanrat. One stormvermin then? One hundred is still an easy choice.
