The necromancer is free for the undead and necromantic teams. When the zombie is added, he appears immediately in the reserves box, and can be used the rest of the mach. Only one zombie per match, though. The full rules are under the Apochary-title, p. 17 (on my rulebook, at least).

Lady Ahti's Baby Lambs (chaos) had last week a match against the holy humans Brotherhood of Mercy. Final result was 2-0 to the chaos team, and casualities 1-1. Sorry not now time for deeper analysis, but the game was really frightening and chaos warriors got smashed, except the Lady Ahti herself. One from a foul. Humans got also smashed, mostly KO, no critical injuries.

I would have time to play the next match on next Friday for example in Kerttu starting at 16.30.

Last Friday Lady Ahti's Chaos and Undead team Coffin fillers had a match. The match was very equal with final result 1-1 and casualities 1-1. The weather changed from nice to pouring rain and sweltering heat. Surprisingly that did not affect much. Aleš did not need much his re-rolls. Everything excepy breaking armour rolls or a few dodging went just fine. I did use my re-rolls perhaps too quick, but managed to get more undead people to KO box.

I put an rules suggestion in the rules thread. The idea is that instead of one coach conceding, if both coaches agree you can pass the game with a score of 1-1. If you have comments please share them in the rules thread.

So it came to pass that on this fine day two teams faced off on the familiar battleground that is the Kerttu stadium. Lady Ahti's Baby Lambs took to the pitch against the veteran elite: da orks of Da Blitzwaaagh! To assist the fledgling Chaos team the two Star Players Grashnak Blackhoof and Lord Borak the Despoiler joined their ranks in an attempt to level the field against the strength -and Guard- advantage of the orcs. The Chaos team also bough a keg full of Bloodweiser (and a Babe to serve it) to help them recover more easily from any hard blows the orcs would surely try to inflict on the rookie team.

Perhaps it was thanks to the presence of the two Star Players that the Chaos team attracted just slightly more fans, giving them the important +1 FAME for the match. Unluckily for them the orc got to receive first... And in absolute pouring rain, much to the chagrin of both coaches. Nuffle, however, is a fickle being and this time decided to have some mercy on both coaches as the rain ceased the moment the ball was first kicked and, with that, the grind was on...

First half saw one of the orcs' all-important Black Orcs severely injured, but luckily their apothecary was able to fix the warr-- I mean player back into playing shape. Also thanks to some clever playing Lady Ahti's Baby Lambs managed to steal the ball from the orcs and scored a touchdown, leaving the orcs with only one round on that half to do anything.

It has already been said that Nuffle is a fickle being... And as it would happen, on the second half the tables were turned as the orcs managed to snag the ball from the Chaos team and so Da Blitzwaaagh!'s team captain scored a touchdown. It was also around this point that the sheer strength and tenacity of the orcs had started to pay off as the casualties were piling high on the Chaos side whilst no further injuries were sustained by the orcs. Even the mighty Grashnak Blackhoof was sent off on a stretcher with a smashed appendage (wrist, if I recall correctly), which really tilted the punching game in the orcs' favor.

When all was said and done and the ref blew the whistle to signal the end of the game, the score was 1-1 with casualties going 4-1 in Da Blitzwaaagh!'s favor.

At the end of the game the two coaches were having a little chat about strategy and coach Koo-Hoo told "Skullsplitta" VeZuri that he should, perhaps, focus his players' attention more on the ball and less on the violence. Da Blitzwaaagh!'s coach agreed that this should perhaps be the case, but in an interview later -when questioned about what exactly had been said between the coaches- "Skullsplitta" VeZuri merely shrugged and said, quoting his team's captain "At da end of da day, we's da orcs, an' we's made fer fightin'. Uvver teams play, Blitzwaaagh kills!"

Gooooooood evening all you ghouls and undead and good night to everyone else. This time I even near forgot to write, but here's your (least) favourite match-commenter, by the grace of the ever-scheming Great Horned Rat, me. :D

This time we had some old, old hatreds swimming deep in the murky waters of history. A true grudge match between the scaly, lizardly like Chaquan Skitterers and the ever-elusive and tricky Rathorde's Fitnessschool.

The lizards were hungry for a fight, good times and a skaven or two on a spit. Skaven team on the other hand was near completely new, released only just for the very first time as a full team, flying new colours in hopes to pleasing their trickster god to blessing their match. Sure there were two or three minor parts left out and star players were missing, as well as cheerleaders and assistan coach, but surely the Great Horned Rat can't fault that on the poor head-coach, now can He?

Why yes, yes He can.

Despite being one season veteran's, the skaven only allowed lizards a bit of extra training, but it came in handy during the second half. Gate rolled on the favour of the rats, who massed somewhat more eager fans, who wanted to see how their new "heroes" would fare. And first half didn't disapoint. At least if you came to see them goof around. Coin favoured the lizards who chose to kick the ball. And only after first round they noticed how hardhitting the skaven had become with ratogre and two guardian blitzers. The skaven quickly formed a tunnel in middle of playing field, but thanks to (once-again) clumsy pass-play the only thing ending up in the tunnel-o-rats was the lonely ball. Skaven coach could only think how lucky he was that the lizards wouldn't be getting it either. Which was speaking too soon as one could figure, for at the very moment the ball breached from the skaven box that had become surrounded by lizards, the ballcarrier stumbled on his own feet and allowed lizards to take the ball. After which they slowly, but steadily moved with it down and scored the games first touchdown.

Showing surprising ability to learn from his mistakes, the skaven coach now formulated another plan which lead on the last rounds of the first half seeing a big skaven box forming on the lizards side of the field. But touchdown was not to be scored easily when the skaven suddenly found themselves mobbed from everywhere by scales, small and big. But despite the frightful cluster of lizards and skaven around his ballcarrier, the skaven coach saw a most clever chance for his team to actually score. As the mob had grown so tight around the ballcarrier, who was already shaking in his lower than average armour rating, he suddenly felt one of the skinks pump into him. Forcing him forward. And soon the same skink pumped into him again! And to his amazement the ballcarrying lineman found himself on the end of the mob. Only couple of short leaps away from goal. And seeing how busy the ball of scale and fur was with fighting each other, the touchdown was scored with surprising ease.

The second half then again was all for the lizards. Despite some leadership issues which left the lizard coach without re-rolls near halfway of the second half. There was also some fan-issues with rocks being hurtled on one skink's head, the ratmen getting quicksnaps twice during the game, but still they were not able to prevent the two additional goals that the lizards managed to score.

What then again helped the lizards to get the two last goal, making the numbers 3-1 for lizards, was not only skill, even though even the skaven coach muttered something about the lizard coach clearly having it. It was the casualties and knockout (and awfully comfy housing in the k.o.-room). The skaven managed to get one skink out of the field and even knock out a few. But the skaven suffered a total of four casualties. From which even so many as two (if memory serves) were made by lizards. Several knockouts were also suffered, but the most painful was when the less famed skaven blitzer sat out almost the whole game on the k.o.-room. Only to emerge from it with two of his mates to the very last round of the game. Probably they were thinking the game had already ended and were annoyed to find themselves playing one last round...

But if the players suffered casualties and k.o.s, but still there were so few times that the other players were actually responsible for the damage... Then what was it? The. Ground. Nearly everytime someone fell over, be it a failed dodge or a failed go-for-it, nearly every time some one hit the dirt, they found themselves on hidden rocks, broken bottles, spikes, weapons and that sort of things and despite armour, fur or scales they always got hurt. Although audience were surpringly soft-handed to the two skaven who were pushed off the field... Probably because of the skaven fans were greater in number...

And last memorable moment has to be when skaven team tried to stop one the touchdowns from happening by blitzing the ballcarrier with very elaborate two skaven vs four skink/saurus ratio and the blitzing lineman just falls on his face next to one of the guardian skinks. Which was only followed by the ballcarrying skink landing almost next to him when he too fails to dodge the gutter runner who had first come to help the lineman blitz the said skink. As said in the pc-version of the game.

Thanks for your report, always a pleasure to read them! Many memorable moments in that game. Then, on the subject of the new rule. Does anyone else have a word to say about it? If not, I'll just put it in the house rules.

EDIT: Okay, I'll put the passing the game -rule into the house rules. But with a 0-0 -result, much easier to put to the score board, and the effect will be the same.

CF had Setekh, extra re-roll and wizard as inducements.
At first kick-off audience threw two rocks on the field hitting players on both side. Zombie got knocked down, my Big Boy Ogre got knocked out and the KO'd box was the place where this lazy useless bastard spent the whole game.
Very enjoyable game and even if it was 1-1, it feels like winning cause Ales nearly scored at the end of match.

Today Chaquan Skitterers played against the Brotherhood of Mercy. Skitterers got Slibli as an star player reinforcement. Also, the slann-mage head coach devised a lucky charm out of an spare skaven foot (magic item card: a rabbit foot), that was attached to a saurus.

Skitterers started the game with an attack in a perfecty fine Blood Bowl weather. The lizards made a quick rush to the human end, and with some struggling and sprinting, scored the first touchdown. The lizard fans were on fire, and in the beginning of the next drive, a fan hurled a rock that hit the legendarily strong human thrower. He was so severly injured, that he won't be showing in the next match, either.. The brotherhood quickly retaliated, as they pounded the sauruses in the line of scrimmage to the ground, and finished the job with a boot. One saurus was badly hurt after a serious fouling. The brotherhood advanced slowly, and in the end of the drive they dominated the lizard end. Carefully they built a scoring situation for their rookie blizer, who made a walking touchdown in the end of the half.

Next half saw the human attacking again. But the lizards managed to slow down the attack with a careful defensive reorganizing. When the human attack didn't move forward, the lizards were all over the ball carrier. There was a great struggle for the ball, and by a chance the ball slipped to the hands of a skink, who happened to stand in a running distance from the end zone. And so, the lizards scored another one. By this time, the lizards had suffered serious losses. Two skinks were beaten to the infirmary, and another saurus joined them. The saurus with a lucky charm got knocked out so hard, that he wasn't able to make it to the pitch for the rest of the match. On the other hand, the eager fan had made the only casualty for the skitterers. With the superior numbers, the humans managed to make their second touchdown.

Only a few moments was left for the skitterers for their winning touchdown, but that would be enough. The kick landed in the perfect spot, and the sauruses pushed quickly and effectively the attack onto the human end. But the humans could still build a very effective defence, and after some unproductive attempts to block the road free, the skink just had to try and dive through the human lines.. and he failed.

So, the end score was 2-2, and casualties maybe 0-2? to humans.

Prepare to move to the playoffs in a few weeks time. Is runkosarja the same as playoffs? But anyway, the next thing is coming up.
