Kiinnostais melkein laittaa uus maa plakkariin ja ei toi varmaan taas oo niit ihan kalliimpia maita käydä.

STEAMSTORM 2014

After flying and driving allmost all over Europe (Scandinavia next year!) it is time to invite all of you guys to Slovakia for your own third-world-country experience and some Hordmachine along the way.

The most important thing: DATE 26.-27. of April 2014. Bratislava, Slovak Republic also know as Slovakia

The tournament: 50 points, 3 lists, the usual Masters package, unless it gets drastically changed, which I don't expect. Pairing will take into account gaming groups and nationality, so I will try to avoid pairing ppl from the same group as long as the results will allow it (probably into round 3 or so)

The venue: Mlynske Nivy 54, 82105 Bratislava. Especially for y'alls the venue WILL include a bar WITH draft beer!

The experience: the evening socialising programme will be held in a pub with the best Spare Ribs in Bratislava, Budweiser and Pilsner Urquell on draft as well as a selection of Belgian beers.

Logistics: Lunch for both days is included in the ticket price, sleeping bag accomodation is possible practically at the venue and a decent hotel is walking distance from the venue with doublerooms currently at 35 EUR per night, so quite cheap (Hotel Astra). More luxurious hotels closer to the town centre can certainly be found as well.

How to get to the end of the world: Ryanair flies directly to Bratislava from several UK locations as well as some major European cities (Bruxelles, Dublin wink wink) Apart from this, Airport Vienna (Schwechat) is some 40 min drive away with very good shuttle connection to Bratislava and I could arrange a pick up at a good price for say, a bigger group of Scandinavians? In any case, don't hesitate to get in touch with me regarding your journey. Early booked flights with Ryanair tend to go for some 40-50 EUR per ticket

Registration: Starting right now, with a deadline probably sometimes in March-ish. The entry fee will be fixed well in advance, but so far it should be somewhere around 25 EUR. I don't plan to have a prepayment requirement. We might have a total limit of ppl for the venue so if suddenly everyone decides to come I would let everyone know. Please send an email to [email protected] even if you tell me on Facebook or in person, SEND THE MAIL please, so I have a working email for every participant for future updates.

Prizes: Many and varied :) I am also open to special requests and good ideas.

In closing: I may very well have forgot something, so ask away but please, PLEASE don't respond to this message, since it will be sent to everyone involved :) Sorry for this megaspam, but I wanted to reach as many ppl as possible. Kun kerta jää multa irish masters väliin, niin toi kuulostaa kyllä kivalta, eikä pelikalenterikaan ole vielä pahasti tossa kohtaa täynnä...

Aikakin on kivasti pässiäisen jälkeen, niin ei tuu työtkään pahasti etuilemaan. Eli kyllä voisin tonne mennä, slovakiassa ole käynytkään vielä pelaamassa....

HAH, katoin lentoja netistä, suomesta menee tonne kerran viikossa lento.. lauantaisin.
Voi olla että lisää lentoja aukee lähempänä tai Martinil olis ittellään ehottaa jotain muuta fiksuu saapumismoodia.

Juu, niinpäs sanotaankin.. oon mä sen lukenukkin ja muistanutkin joskus :D lentoi hain sit vaan suoraan bratislavaan :P

Tommosii 220e+ lentoi sais, onk ketää kiinnostunei nyt kun on mun hölmöilyt saatu välistä :)
