Mordheimia?

Mordheimia?

Re: Mordheimia?
This was one of my favourites games of GW (besides BFG)!. If something is organised, my Marienburg band is ready to search warpstone :)

Re: Mordheimia?
It would be super cool to have a wee campaign, especially if we have outlandish reinforcements interested, but I'm rather sure there's no chance in Sigmar's heaven and Morr's gardens that I'll have time for this among wee bits of work, hell-of-a-lot of bits of schooling, and organising VtES and A:Netrunner. :(
Try to get a group together, though. It's always awesome to at least read about Mordheim campaigns, if not play in them myself.

I'll gladly help to get some mordheim action around if needed. :)

Re: Mordheimia?
I'm in! Too long since I last had a game of Mordheim. About the warbands though, are fan made warbands allowed? Could be cool to get some forest goblin action going on.
Is dere any sound better than ´ead cracin under your big axe?
Re: Mordheimia?
We had an excellent (if I do say so myself) set of house rules, that fit on two A4s. That included extra warbands from various places which we found balanced - sometimes even more so than some gangs from the core rules (Skaven, i'm looking at you!). I still have the docs on my computer, most like; will check them out and share if I find them as soon as I get home.Orcs are da best kirjoitti:I'm in! Too long since I last had a game of Mordheim. Despite my current scheduling problems, I'm more than willing to pitch in with my Marauders. The more the merrier, and all.

Re: Mordheimia?
House rules?, interesting :D. I think I have plenty of extra rules in my old computer (they were official rules when mordheim was an official GW's game, of course), but I've to sort out...
About extra warbands...last time I play against beastmen and lizardmen, and they are too strong! :p My Marienburgs only knew how to run away...
And what about scenery? I don't have any piece here (only for Flames of War). Mmm to represent Mordheim with these kits can be oustanding! :P

Rune has list of some particularly well balanced unofficial warbands what people have used and local Fantasiapelit has great pieces of scenery to be used in Mordheim. :)HeresyBrush kirjoitti:House rules?, interesting :D. Basically what house rules did was some fixing in bad written rules and general balancing to the game by limiting the ranged weapon spam where many strong warbands ended to, because I suppose we all have had at some point or another horrifying experiences from Skaven sling spam in particular (or Orcs are da Best's unkillable Crossbow ninja orcs).
Re: Mordheimia?
Oh, sudden conversation explosion moment of eagerness! Nice. I'm somewhat new to Mordheim (just 3-5 games) and I'm ok with different rule sets, as I think it's good (and interesting) for me to see different stuff. So feel free to suggest! And what you say about the scenarios? I've only played the wyrd stone hunt (many of these) and one silly setting that included a marauder filled building in the middle of the table and the non-player marauders shot D6 crossbow shots at the closest targets through the windows etc. in every round.
About the shooty domination, I've been planning rules for smoke bombs in Sotavasara's Mordheim section and we could try those if you want. I just need to gather the ideas and finish the first version of rules.
Like Salsa said, Fantasiapelit has good variety of terrain. My gaming group used those multistorey 40k buildings in our last campaign and they were very ideal for Mordheim - although not so medieval. I also have some fancy unfinished Mordheim terrain if you don't mind unpainted pieces.

Read the readme if you want to, I added some ideas to using all of this lot.
The first thing to read (after getting familiar with the core three of course) is revisions.pdf. That includes all core changes i've made, and they're really good additions. I wouldn't really leave home without them anymore. :) Many people have found other similar 'comping' solutions good for them, but these have worked best for us. Get familiar with revisions.
The set is pretty good with 'wilderness' settings, but work fine with 'classic' Mordheim as well. All warbands found in the files work fine with the revisions - even the elves, even though they tend to be a wee bit over powered! Keep consistency, however - how many Norse warbands would there even be in Mordheim to be honest? And don't even start with cathayans. Liches and beastmen and whatnot work fine though. And if you really want to have a forest goblin warband in there, make sure to play it for fluff, not power level (if they even have such a thing, those wee vermin).

Re: Mordheimia?
So many miniature and roleplaying games to play right now but as I have concluded most of my university crap from this spring, I too could jump in. Anyway, what wouold Joensuu's Mordheim campaings be without my elves? :D So, you have my bow(s).

Re: Mordheimia?
Hoi! I'm currently writing custom scenarios and checking what house rules we'll use. The campaign topic will be up soon(ish). So dust your veterans or bring forth the newborns, now it's good time to build and paint your adventure-thirsty gang.
The games will be in every other monday evening in Fantasiapelit.

I strongly recommend using the Revisions I posted. Really strongly. :)Jarva kirjoitti:Hoi! I'm currently writing custom scenarios and checking what house rules we'll use. But anyhows, good luck to the campaign! Remember to post shitloads of fluff and reports and whatnot. Will enjoy reading them!

Darn, that's not going to work for me, since the army is still taking all of my time during weekdays.
