Ropecon 2014 WM/H information and registration

It's finally here. Check out the schedule for the tournaments and register while there's still room!

WM/H Team Tournament

"Play Warmachine in 4-player teams. Rules, schedule and preregistration at Sotavasara forums, or ask for free spots before the event!"

Rules:

- 8 teams of 4 players (= max 32 players)
- Three rounds
- 1-2 50p lists, D&C(1)
- Basic Painting Required
- A team can't have the same caster twice. Prime and Epic versions of the same caster count as different casters.
- If a team wins 3-4 games in a round it gains 1 Tournament Point, If a team wins 2 games, it gains 0.5 TP. 0-1 wins are worth 0 TP
- Teams are ranked primarily according to Tournament points. After that, tiebreakers as per: SoS, Number of games won, CPs
- Deathclock [60 mins]: Normal deathclock. Deployment is clocked.
- Pairings like in Fanatic:
0. TO announces paired teams, scenario and table groups.
1. Dice off until there is a winner. The winner gets to choose whether they are Team A, or Team B in the process.
2. Team A captain nominates his/her first player and presents both the player’s lists to the opposing captain.
3. Team B captain then nominates two (2) of his players that are potential opponents for the player. He provides all 4 lists for the 2 players.
4. Team A captain chooses which player from the 2 that will play against the player he first nominated.
5. Team A captain nominates his/her second player and presents both the player’s lists to the opposing captain.
6. Team B captain then nominates two (2) of his players that are potential opponents for the player. He provides all 4 lists for the 2 players.
7. Team A captain chooses which player from the 2 that will play against the player he first nominated.
8. Team B captain chooses the last two pairings.
9. Tables are randomized for matches.

-Team captains are expected to be on time. Team captains are penalised by losing their own personal game if they're 15 minutes late for the pairing.
-If the games are not ready to start in scheduled time, the tournament organiser can issue further penalties (game losses) at will. Please tell the TO in advance if games are at risk of not starting on time so he will be ready to address the situation.
-BE ON TIME! Game losses will really be in use.

- Max 32 players
- Three rounds, top 4 go on to 4th and 5th Gauntlet Rounds on sunday
- Painting Required
- 3 x 50p, D&C(1)
- Deathclock [60 mins]: Normal deathclock. Deployment is clocked.
- Rules pack and scenarios as per Iron Gauntlet 2015

- Schedule: (2h10mins for games, no breaks)

WM/H Who's The Boss

"Get ready for some really out there combos in the Iron Kingdoms universe as randomly determined casters are picked to lead your carefully selected army. The tournament starts after the last round of the main tournament. Rules, schedule and preregistration at Sotavasara forums, or ask for free spots before the event!"

- Max 32 players
- 3 rounds
- Basic Painting Required
- One 35+5p list
- Make a list without a caster, using 5 warjack points. You will be randomly assigned a caster from another faction before each game
- Nordic Deathclock [40mins]: Just like normal deathclock, except it can be stopped for tight measurements, rules questions and continous effects. Deployment is not clocked.

- Schedule: (1h30min per round, no breaks)

- Be prepared to start the 2nd and 3rd rounds ahead of schedule if everyone is ready.


WM/H Iron Gauntlet Finals

"The top 4 of saturdays main tournament compete for supremacy in 2 Iron Gauntlet rounds. This is an invitation only tournament"


- 4 players, qualified from earlier tournaments

- Painting Required
- 75p
- Lists are made based on the 50p lists you played in the qualifying rounds. Please read the Iron Gauntlet rules for clarification.
- Players are required to use a timer for the 20 minutes of list building before games. If a player takes more than 20 minutes to build a list, the other player is responsible for immediately starting a 10 minute timer for the following game forfeiting deadline.
- Deathclock [72 mins]: Normal deathclock. Deployment is clocked.

- Schedule: (2h 30min per game, 30 minutes of setup per game, one 30min break)
