I have finally finished the first unit (I have another five in the pipeline...) of my 15mm Spanish army for the 30 Years War, plus a couple of command bases.
First of all: the colours are very nice! Together with the green bases they look realistic and colourful at the same time. It's always nice to see well-painted individual models that form a good unit together.
The thing I really don't understand is why you keep writing these models are 15mm when everyone can see that they're clearly 28mm ;) Incredible work!
What manufacturer makes these models? Testudo? I have trouble navigating on their website and for example to see the prices...
As far as I know, the new owner of Testudo is Khurasan miniatures: http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com (but this guy is on Holidays at this moment). If I remember right, 12 miniatures are 6$ or something like that.
Outstanding work! I wish I learned how to do clean, bright colours like that. How many hours did you put in that tercio? I hope you can keep it up to finish the project :)
Thats so crazy amount of detail youve put into these.. :D
All the colours look so lively, yet kind of cartoony with all that colour but same time keeping it really realistic.
Do you paint anything with bigger scale? Im kinda thinking that for such a neat painter, something bigger could be kind of a chore :) atleast with my skills it would be a pain in the ass to try to focus on something so small.
I hope you get this project finished and keep us posted along the way.
Just stunning work ! These must be the best 15mm models and painting I've seen. I mean look at the amount of details on these, and how nice it all looks together. Are You also playing something with these ? These would be reason enough for anyone with an army for the period to travel to Joensuu to play against ! Too bad I have miniatures for 30 years war only on 28mm scale.
Smaxx, Yes, I´m planning to play with them! Indeed we are forming a small group here to play Tercios: Liber Millitum (or other ruleset if we finally don´t like it).
Routasydän, I also hope to get this propject finished...but I don´t know how long it will take! :(. Yeah, I also paint 28mm, but 15mm is my prefered scale!
