On ageofsignarin kommenteissa hiukan perää, mutta kaveri voisi itse ilmottautua käytöstapojen tai rakentavan kritiikin ABC kurssille. How rude!

Figuurit kyllä piristyisivät paljon jos heti mustan pohjamaalin jälkeen vetäisit isolla pensselillä hiukan mustaa vaaleammalla tummalla drybrushit koko figuuriin. myös kultaan voin suositella rusehtavaa shadea.

Ei ole tarvetta olla ilkeä. Eli jatkossa asiallisempaa palautetta. Nuo figut ovat mun mielessä siinä pisteessä, missä se tylsemmän puoleinen pohjatyö on tehty, ja varsinaisen mielenkiintoisen osuuden voi aloittaa. Eli pinnoissa on väriä, ja seuraavaksi voi lähteä sitten oman maun mukaan lähteä hakemaan detaljeja esiin ja korostamaan mitä tykkää. Itse käytän tuon vaiheen jälkeen washeja aika paljon, ja washien kuivuttua paria kerrosta highlighteja ja/tai kuivaharjausta, maalailen vähän detaljeja esiin ja korjailen pikkuisen yli menneitä kohtia. Eli nuo ovat tuollaisenaan sitä normaalia pelipöytätasoa, ja jos niihin jatkaa semmoisen arviolta puolet jo tehdystä työmäärästä jos sitäkään, niin saa jo aivan mallikasta jälkeä.

Beissitkin on tosiaan hyvä maalata, raaka hiekka herättää vähän kielteistä huomiota.

Musta panssari on kyllä vaikea, en itse ainakaan hallitse yhtään.

Menee nyt vähän OT:ksi, mutta tässähän tuli just sulle rehellistä palautetta sun palautteenantotaidostasi.

I'm not trying to be a dick but I'd like to point out the following things:

Aspiring Champion's chainmail is the first thing we need to discuss about. On a piece, where the detail is "small" it can easily be seen, whether one applies too thick of a coat or not. On both edges, the holes are starting to "disappear" due to the paint being too thick on those parts. After your black undercoat, you could either paint multiple layers from some really dark metal to mithril silvir as it is hard to cover black undercoat. Or you could paint some brown over the black and after that paint the metal. Anyway, few thin layers > one thick layer. After you have a good coverage, apply shades / washes gently as you don't want it to pool on certain areas.

Those bases indeed look like rushed. The gravel you use is really big, if it represents sand etc, it is too rough. Also some of the rocks are on the sides and not all the sides are painted properly (one on the right and aspiring champion.

Notice the guy with red hair coming from his helmet? There you have applied too much wash, probably you didn't shake the bottle at all (resulting sometimes in glossy outcome with badab black and few other paints). Even with washes it is better to have multiple layers and black isn't the best wash for red.

After watching the picture multiple times it left me pondering if you had glued the rocks to bases before you glued the models on bases

Gold is really flat. You need to shade it as well as now it looks like you just rushed these.

Silver / Iron parts are messy and too thick, same things apply here as in the comments on the chainmail on champion.

Does the Icon Bearer use lipstick often or is it blood or just a brush wandering off?

Its the use of wash that ruined it sadly. My honest mistake by putting little bit too much... Sigh... But I will try that upon the next squad.

I put them on after. About the red hair guy there is multiple layers of wash and maybe black wash isn't the best option, but then again the wash haven't dried up in these pictures. Those bases are really rushed up and I admit that since I honestly hate doing basing and I'm really
bad at it, since I have no real inspiration to get better at it... so sorry about that. :/ And those bases were simply spray painted because my simple "lazyness" about it so that should some up why those bases aren't really that great or amazing as I didn't put more effort to them.

Actually that is the tongue,which stick out from the helmet so none of those? And these were little rushed this time, also the pictures have been taken pretty much straight after I finished painting so the washes really haven't dried that much on these pictures yet.
Hmm... And about that gold.. This time there is little more wash upon it and it still looks flat? Maybe I need to change the wash or something? Or maybe it seems so in the pictures because the lighting? or.. Well have to look into these metals more now ...
And thank you for pointing out things with more of a explanation about what is wrong and how to fix it than just sticking it up to my face. That alone shows that you're not being a "dick".
Also I was really tired already at the point I got these done, so that may explain some of the mistakes as I wasn't clearly that sharp anymore..
Also I'm not sure if you prefer english or finnish so I sticked with english.

Heti näin kättelyssä pyydän anteeksi jos tämä viesti tuntuu v-tuilulta. Tarkoitus on antaa rakentavaa palautetta ja edistää maalaustaitoja. Ja pahoittelut jos toistan asioita mitä muut ovat tuoneet jo esille, en ole lukenut kaikkia palautteita ennen omani postaamista.

Figuissa on selvästi hiomisen varaa. Suurimmassa osassa on liian paksu kerros maalia. Oletko koittanut laittaa maalia ensin paletille ja ohentaa sitä vedellä ennen kuin lisäät sitä figuihin? Myös yksivärisyydet tekevät figuista "nopeasti sutaistuilta". Ehdottaisin lisäämään washin jälkeen highlighteja kultaan, metalliin ja mustaan eri sävyisillä väreillä. Kultaa ja metallia löytyy kirkkaampia värjeä joka figu kaupasta. Mustaa voi highlitata joko harmaalla tai vaikka metalli väreillä. Kultaan kannatta myös lisätä pieniä metalli viivoja sinne tänne (ei kuitenkaan hirveää määrää), tällä tavoin tuot kultaan kiiltoa. Kallot ja sarvet voisi myös edge highlightata vaaleammalla "luun" värillä.

Baseista sen verran että suosittelen pohjalle hienompaa hiekkaa ennen kivien ja kasvien lisäämistä. Näyttää heti paremmalta.

Näillä pikku neuvoilla tuot figusi paremmin esille. Olet oikealla suunnalla joten ei huolta. Sinun tarvitsee vain heittäytyä ja antaa aikaa joka figulle enemmän :)
