Malifaux 2nd Edition league for autumn!

Teams
Fixed Masters(so no changing during the league!) 35-50 SS games, start with smaller and growing towards the end.

Scenarios

Each round lasts for 2 weeks, starting from 5.10.2015

Introductions are in order!
Size: 35 SS
Strategy: Turf War
Deployment: Corner Deployment
Schemes: A Line In the Sand, Entourage, Make them suffer, Bodyguard, Assasinate.

Back in Business
Size: 40 SS
Deployment: Randomly determine Deployment
Strategy and schemes: Flip as normal'

Fight Night!
Size: 50 SS

Set Up: After hiring crews but before revealing them to the opposing player, each player secretly selects one of their non-leader models to be their Wrestler. Randomly determine player to place her wrestler in the center of the table, then the other player place her Wrestler in base contact with it. After both wrestlers have been placed, each player secretly writes down a number between 0 and 4 (This is their bet)

Deployment: Randomly determine deployment.

Strategy: Wrestling!
Schemes: Choose normally.

Special: The two wrestler may not take Attack Actions against any other model except the opposing Wrestler. No other model may target a wrestler with an action. Each leader may target a friendly Wrestler within 6" with a (1) Interact Action to flip a card which may not be cheated and apply the following conditions to the Wrestler depending on the card for the remainder of the turn:

Black Joker: No Effext
Crows: Viper Cloud: Any model damaged by this model's Ml Attacks gain the Slow condition.
Ram: Panda Belly: This model's Ml Attack Actions which deal damage, deal +1 damage
Tome: Divine Egg Punch: Once per Turn, after dealing damage with an Ml attack, this model may discard a card to immediately make a (1) Ml Attack.
Mask: Sleeping Mantis: This model gains +1 Df
Red Joker: Reactivate.

After one the wrestler is killed, the other model may act normally and may be attacked normally.

Victory.
When One of the Wrestler models is killed of sacrificed, each player reveals their bets. The player who's wrestler is still in play scores number of VP equal to their number they noted down for their bet.

At the end of every turn, any crew which killed of sacrificed two or more non-Peon enemy models scores 1 VP. A crew may not score more VP in this way than 4 minus the amount they placed for their Bet (For Example, if a player wrote down 4 for her bet, she would not be able to score any VP in this manner, if she wrote down 3 for her bet, she would only be able to score 1 VP in this manner, etc).

A Round for everyone!
Size: 50SS

Set up: Place terrain as usual, but place a 3" by 3" open bar terrain piece in the Center of the table. The Open Bar is a Ht 1, Severe terrain, Soft cover. Any moder within 1" of the Open Bar may make a (2) Interact Action to perform a 3/5/7 Healing Flip.

Strategy: Reckoning
Deployment: Flank Deployment
Schemes: Determine randomly.

Hog Wrastlin'
Size: 50SS

Set up: Before deploying, place four Mud Slick pieces of terrain on the table, Players alternate placing the Mud Slicks until all four are placed. These terrain pieces are 3" by 3" and Ht 0, Any model which ends a move or push in a Mud Slick terrain piece is immediately pushed up to 3" in any direction by the opposing player. Then place a 30mm Golden piglet in the Center of the table.

Deployment: This scenario uses blind deployment (M2E Core rulebook pg. 80)

Strategy: Golden Piglet.
Schemes: Choose normally.

Special: The golden piglet belongs to neither Crew (see stat card).

Victory: At the end of every turn after the first, any crew with two or more models in base contact with the golden piglet earns 1 VP you can earn maximum of 4 VP this way.

There is 10 league points to share at each game, use the following chart to determine how the points are spread.

Proxies are allowed as long as they are regocnisable as what they represent, the cards should be original or printed on paper for quick reference.

I have just paid my incription :)

Proxies on the way! :P

I have a couple of questions:

1- What about the extra points for using the whole army painted. 0,5 points per game? or nothing at all?
2- How are you planning to scaling the game from 35 to 50 SS? ATM we are only 4 players, which means in principle 3 games for each of us (unless we play more than 3 games, just playing a second round)
3- When are we starting? I'm in my warm home country from the end of the next week to 12th of October! :(

I'm (most likely) going to come too!

Perhaps. Maybe. Can't be certain. My schedule is kind of interesting in that it jumps from 55h week to 8 hour week, school+work. So maybe.

Although i can guarntee that i will get my butt handed to me, since my experience with Malifaux is... lacking, to put it mildly. To put it less mildly, it consists of 1 demo game.

Anyhow! Soon i will have the Thunders assembled and somewhat painted, and ready for the 35ss start!
(perhaps add some archers or so to get to 50ss, or just proxy imperial titan as rail crewman.)

And that concludes the report on "what happens when extreme noob with random crew goes against the most experienced player in the group, who is also playing cheese crew". Those with accurate perception could have noticed generous amounts of salt flying all around when the game went to 75SS vs 35SS crew :(

I wasn't playing my Perdita! Who is usually considered as the most cheesiest master of them all! That's Hannu who's swinging that bitch around!

The Perdita and the Ortegas are the Anti-Neverborn crew from the first book and due to a few other bonuses that help them counter Neverborn they kind of lost the "-Neverborn" part and became Anti-Everything
