Dakkasta/Portentista:
*The centigors have this drunken rule where at the start of the turn, roll and on a 1 they test for stupidity and on a 6 they get frenzy! They get an extra attack kinda like the saurus warriors. They also always count as Spec. choices. No all centigor armies.
*The mob rule kinda is the same. +2 max rank bonus, the major change is that to charge 25% of the unit must be in charge range in order to charge. I understand the point of this is to stop huge mobs speading all over the place charging whereever they feel like cause 1 model is in range but 25% with a big unit might be kinda tough. "Nope you can't charge you only have 20% within 10"! But, I charge you with only have 1 guy in 8!" Maybe it won't be so bad in game but just reading it kinda scared me.
*The shaggoth and minotaur lord mark of Tz is only a level 2 not 4! You may stop sweating now..
*Yes having a Doombull lets you take minotaurs as core.
*No pics of Slaangor or Tzaangor yet some nice new characters but everything else is from the preview pics mainly.
*Bestigors are no longer 0-1 but now 1 per beastmen herd.
*The book comes out in Sept. at least in the States. Damn!
....
Didn't get through the backgroud too much but it seemed like that's all the centigors too before a battle get all boozed up and head out. With the time I had I tried to gather as much "real" info I could.
....
How does the marks work? Same as HoC? Pretty much the same, the only diff I noticed was the Doombull and Shaggoth getting lvl 2 sorcerer levels dispite being lord choices. Thank goodness too!
....
Anything about spec. chars? Gorthor the Beastlord and Krazrak are back with one new guy some master of skulls. He's a beastmen shaman I think all that I really remember is that if you take him you get No (that's right no) general! Apparently he goes around causing all sorts of problems that would make orks envious. I don't really remember much else about the special characters. Oh wait if Krazrak is your general all of your units that have the option of ambushing can. I just remembered they limited the amount of ambushing units to half that you have available. Not much else comes to mind. Oh, there's no RedMaw.
....
Are Demon Cav in BoC? So the Shaggoth now is a character finally? Does he take up just a Lord slot or anything else? And does it mean he now gets *gulp* magic items?
As for the cav, no mention. The shaggoth is still a rare and he can only get marks no magic items. Maybe we should take bets as to how long they make a special dragon ogre character in White Dwarf. No offence to Gav but after seeing the Bone Liche guy nothing's gonna suprise me. He is still a 0-1 though.
....
From what I gathered:
Dragon Ogre Lord is rare and special slot,
if you give him marks he becomes rare and hero (no more special).
Stats got slightly decreased and some equipment options got dropped (no more shields...),
the best save he can now get is 3+ or 4+ (not sure).

Käsittäisin sen tarkoittavan että maksimi rank bonus on 2 ja jotta yksikkö voi tehdä chargen(eikä tule failed charge) täytyy 25% modeleista kantaa viholliseen.Alandor kirjoitti:Mitäs tuo tarkkaan ottaen tarkoittaa, en ole täysin varma...tneva82 kirjoitti: *The mob rule kinda is the same. +2 max rank bonus, the major change is that to charge 25% of the unit must be in charge range in order to charge. Todella hyviä kuvia Beastmaneistä löytyy seuraavasta osoitteesta:
http://www.kerlin.de/tm/news/bilderneu.html

On muo GW:n heput aika kettuja, ku tekivät noista kaaoskamoista yhdisteltäviä.

official beastman rules
-Centigors are "drunken", ie if u roll a 1 at the start of the turn they test for supidity, if u roll a 6, they're frenzied.
1 Shaggoth in the army can be upgraded to a lord choice for free, but can't be given magic items, just marks. The mark of slanesh makes him always strike first for 40 points, so if he has a great axe, your general is WS6, S7/8(not sure), T5, W6, A5, Ld9/10(again, not sure). And he always strikes first, so his I4 doesn't matter!! Also, u can't have a Shaggoth if uve got a daemon general. If the Shaggoth is your general, he takes up 1 lord, 1 special and 1 Rare choice, so should probably should only be used in BIG battles. The fact that he costs 350pts including most marks doesn't help either. He can be a level 2 sorceror if he has the mark of Tzeench. Also if a shaggoth/dragon ogre is struck by lightning/ lightning spells they become frenzied!
That shatters the old rumour of beastmen not being able to use the marks of Tzeench/Slanesh, they can, but you have to convert your own marked bestigors.
Everything else is quite like the preview list given a few months ago in WD, except they get 3 special characters: The dude in the chariot, khazrak, and that wierd half spawn, half brey-shaman thing that has a movement rate of 2D6 inchs.
The new models aren't the best, they decided to change the crew in the chariots, and thats all. the new gors come with legs and torsos stuck together, so those of us who like messing about with multipart models will be quite disappointed. The Shaggoths nice though......
