Warhammer 40k "Champion of Terra" Tournament Tallinn 1st of December
Warhammer 40k "Champion of Terra" Tournament Tallinn 1st of December
I am very happy to announce our very first 40k tournaments with a little bit of fluff mixed in it. This event will be the best one in Tallinn.
The goal of the tournament is Immersion and fun.
This tournament will have a unique feel to it. All tables will be different from each other, and have special rules of their own.
In addition Special Characters, and converted Warlord are welcomed in this event!
The outcome of the games will play a big part in forging the Narrative on this event. And will be an influence in the future "Champion of Terra" event.
All rules, missions, and addition information will be updated soon.
If this event will have 10+ players. Each player will get a gift bag with goodies!
- The date is 1st of December. We gather at 10.00 and finish at 22.00. Its a one day event.
- Games are played under the rules of the Warhammer 40,000 Eighth Edition.
- The participation fee is € 30 euros, and should be paid 30 days before the tournament starts. NO REFUNDS. All the fee will be used to buy prizes.
- The tournament is aimed for 14 players maximum.
- The figures used must be fully painted, based and conforming to the wysiwyg rule. This means that all grenades and guns do not necessarily have to appear on the figures, but as accessories they buy as options, such as special weapons, melee weapons and, for example, flags. Proxylated or clearly incomplete figures should be left home. How ever, if you have a conversion for a specific model, you can MP me and send its picture, to avoid any misunderstanding.
Registration and Armies
Players who want to attend can write here or PM me. Their names will be added to the list of participants.
Each player must construct their army list using Battle Scribe, and have the list printed out, or on his phone for his opponent to see.
The list should include Warlord Traits, Psychic Powers and Relics.
Army Compositions
- Armies must be up to 1550 points. Not more
- The army must not contain more than two detachments, and no detachment may be duplicated. In addition, secondary detachment cant include units from the main detachment.
I would kindly ask no Eldar Combinations in your lists, No Farseers in Dark Eldar/Harleqins armies.
- All armies must follow the "Rule of three". The rule also applies to troops and their transports.
- The Stratagems, Relic and Warlord traits function only with <Faction> detachments, i.e. with the same logic as Objective Secured (or equivalent) rules in Chapter Approved / Codex. In addition, only Warlord's <Faction> Stratagems and Relic are available.
- The units familiar with Forge World Index books are authorized to use.
-This Tournament will Include "Maelstorm of War" Missions, and thus each player must have the data cards for their armies.
- No duplicating special characters in factions. If we have three Death Guard players, and all of them want to play Mortarion, they must decide among them selves who is gonna play him. That is gonna play a big role in the "Narrative" part of the event.
- I would kindly ask every single player to make their list as fluffy as possible. At the end of the tournament armies that where made, noticeably, to win, will loose points.

No date or schedule yet?
...to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

Cool. I'll try and make it, so sign me up! I'll most likely be bringing Ahriman and his Thousand Sons.

EDIT: How would "No duplicating special characters in factions. If we have three Death Guard players, and all of them want to play Mortarion, they must decide among them selves who is gonna play him. That is gonna play a big role in the "Narrative" part of the event." work in practice? There is no date set for list submission, so I'm guessing people will know which Special Characters will be contested only when everyone has arrived at the tournament? I guess I can work around being denied Ahriman, but what about someone with - for instance - Mortarion? That's almost a third of their army they'd have to replace on the spot? Could we maybe reserve a special character when signing up or something?

I am coming. I have no idea about my army yet.
I agree with Squirreli about special character reservation. There should be a set date where every participating player announces the factions they are going to play with and name the special characters they intend to bring. If there are multiple intents to bring the same special character -> randomize pick order between the players.

Added!
I think of putting the special character name near the persons name who wants to play with him. So that people see that he is reserved. If some otehr player wants to use the same character, they will have to contact the person who reserved him and talk it over.I am coming. I have no idea about my army yet.

I got this idea. If you already have a list in mind, send it to me! I will check it (or people who help me with that) and then we can tell if its fluffy/friendly for the tournament, or need some units removed.
Yesterday got some lists for death guard and tau, and they where far from fluffy/friendly xD

Re: Warhammer 40k "Champion of Terra" Tournament Tallinn 1st of December
Wonderful news guys!
All the spots for the event are taken!
We have one new player coming from Finland, and two players from Finland that took part in the very first event I organized. Also, six players from Riga are joining us!
So, if some one wants to have a chance to join, I will put your names in the waiting list. If some one drops of from the tournament, then the name first in the list will take that players spot.
