Fate of QuetZlet

The city Axlotl was ruled by the slann mage lord Quetzlet. It was one of the jungles biggest templecities, left by the old ones. As usual Axlotl has problems with skaven attacks, but they have never been big enough to take over the city. One day Quetzlet sent almost his whole army to the vampire coast, to take back artefacts that was necessary for worshipping to the gods from necromancer Luther Harkon.
Few days after he did a skaven horde attacked. it seemed to be the biggest one yet.
This story takes up the fall of lord but a rise of a hero.

Among the jungletrees thousands of red eyes peeked forward in the dark.
The slann Quetzlet sat on his palanquin inside of the temple doors made of solid gold and was unsatisfied with his right hand temple guard Gratzel and his men. The rat scum were coming closer and soon the city was to be lost to the furry beasts.
Quetzlet was known to be the wisest of his generation slanns. He has bruises all over him after fights with the amazons or known as the valkyries to some, and from magician duels from the vampires. His green pale skin was old and bruised and the crown on his head were falling apart. The weight of it almost seemed to heave to him. You could see he was tired, he has been like that for the last hundred years, but he kept on fighting. His saurus carrying his palanquin should dead a long time ago , but was kept alive by his magic forces. They must be kept alive, because Quetzlet himself was to weak and fat for baeing able to walk himself.
He gazed back into the jungle onto the beasts in front of his temple, watching closely every step they were going to make, but it seemed that somehow, he allready knew what they were going to do.
Gratzel was Quetzlets right hand and his best fighter in the whole army. He was known to kill vampires with just one blow with his halberd, made of solid gold and weight twice as much as a normal halberd.
It was said it was a magical artefact made just for killing magicians. Gretzel had been in many combats to making him too to be scarred and one scar so bad he lost one of his eyes. His scaly skin showed up like it was unpenetratable. His stegadon helm was from the great Hakar stegadon family, those who had the biggest horns in the whole world, they grow horns earlier than stegadons in any other place. They are only bred on this one place and there is not many who knows where that is. On his two horns that was about three feet each he had juwels and gold, one piece for every victory in combat.
He looked out into the woods and though he saw some movement.
All the sudden gigantic monsters with teeth that could bite through hardest steel appeared out in the open. These giant rats looked fierce and hungry and within a grasp they were raging towards the temple guards that were lined up for combat. the beastmasters behind the rat ogres had huge whips twice as long as the ratogres, just to keep them in control. They whipped the beasts in the back making them more furious and anxiuos to kill the enemy so the beastmasters could treat them better.
Skinks in towers hurled poison arrows onto them but the large monsters seemed to be resilient to the arrows.
Gratzel called out to his guards roaring to attack. He knew that this was only a taste of what to come. The temple guards charged in the rat ogres with their halberds in their hands swinging them. Blood was everywhere. The huge rats soon were killed but not without making severe damage to Gratzels guards. Gratzel killed the last rat ogre himself, taking the cut off head and threw it towards the jungle.
As he looked around, he saw eyes in the shadows of the forest, greater number the he ever knew could exist. It seemed they were coming from underneath! He looked over his shoulder to the south and there was the same eyes, milliones of them. What were they up against?
He also looked up to the slann that now was ontop of the temple, meditating, careless about what was happening to them. Why? Did he know something noone else did?
Gratzel tryed his best to forget it and gather the army for combat as much as he could.
Dense green smoke appeared in the jungle now. It looked poisonous. The eyes in the jungle wielded some kind of censers in their hands...
He tryed to gather all those who were left in the lizardmen army. It wasnt much, maybe 5 kroxigors, 10 templeguards, 50 skinks helped by 3 salamanders helped by alot of terradons in the air.
The skinks gathered on the temple as high as they could get without disturbing the slann. Kroxigors beneath the salamanders and at the bottom around the temple, saurus with spears and the temple guards forwarding where those rateyes were the most. They started to wait fearless as the saurus are they stared back in the hordes in the jungle.
It was now the rats emerged from their tunnels below, hundreds of them, maybe thousands! Seemed they would never stop coming from those holes! Finally they stopped and walked forward grinning towards the sun they didnt like, making them see bad.
The censer bearers walked forward, swinging their censers so the green smoke went up into the air surrounding the city, which was now green looking because of the light going through the green smoke surrounding the city.
The terradons that didnt understand what the green smoke did, flew through it and died within seconds, inhaling the fumes, and fell to the ground, just to be eaten by giant rats on the ground swarming around the feet of the clanrats.
Among those rats was a machine, a great machine with a bell, and on it stood a grey rat.
It was Grey Seer Thenarq. He was in control of clan pestilens and clan moulder, after he had killed and eaten the old leaders of these clans.
He took his hairy arm with long sharp claws and pointed to the top of the temple where the slann sat. He made a squeeky noise and rang the bell with a sound so high the whole ground started to shake like and earthquake. The gruond started shattering and large cracks formed up while all the furios raging redyed rats charged forward with only one goal. To kill the slann.
Many rats fell into the cracks but they were soon to fill up with hundreds of rats so the others just went ontop of them. Many more rats died from skinks arrows and venomous spit from the salamanders. In the front of the skaven horde there was censer bearers, followed by clanrats and in the back the grey seer waited with plaguemonks and plague censer bearers, his loyal bodyguards.
Gratzel was worried. He knew there was nothing to do against them so he ran up to the slann with raging fury screaming at him to do something. But Quetzlet did nothing, he ignored him. Gratzel went berzerk and only thing he could think of was to take him inside the temple, to safety.

He ordered some of the templeguards to carry the slann into safety into the temple.
the mage priest lokked at the guards briefly and started meditating again.
He ignored the fact that he was carried from his beloved palanquin on which he had sat on since the second spawning to the slanns.
Gratzel thought while he and his men was carrying the slann to the safest chamber and the slanns resting place, the tomb chamber. It was there the slann was to be buried when he died. is this the end? Do we have to sacrifice lord Quetzlet?
Quetzlet somehow knew what Gretzel was thinking and answered him through telepathy that he should not worry he didn't demand anything of Gretzel that you couldn't do. Let it be.

Angry, Gretzel nodded and swore that he would die for Quetzlet, before running out of the temple. There he saw his tepleguards had fallen, the saurus corps were eaten upon by giant rats and the skinks called for help from terradons riders but didnt get any answer, so they ran into the temple.
Gretzel was the last one in and with his enourmous strength he closed the massive gold door and sealed it. The large gold door must have been a weight of thousands of kilo!
He yelled to the skink champions to prepare the sacrifice ceremony!
The clanrats stayed outside the temple entrance waiting for their lord to appear. As he came to the entrance he pointed at the temple door and ate a warpstone to get energy enough to break it. He summoned his powers into a fireball and fired it away from his hand onto the golden gate door. When it hit a great explosion came, destroying the gate easy like it was made of wood. Shattered gold pieces flew everywhere wit hthe speed of sound, piercing through some rats, killing them immediatly.
Lifting himself up like telechinesis 5 inches up in the air, he went through the gate without need of searching through the temple. It was like he already knew where he was going.
Skinks were poisoned by his bare mind and died, just to be eaten to the bone by the swarm of rats that followed him.

He came in the tomb chamber just to see that skinks were about to sacrifice the slann to the gods. He killed them with one sweep of his hand liek an invisible sword 2 meters long cutting them in half. He stepped forward to the slann. Just as he was going to speak Gratzel jumped up from behind the sacrifice altar and cut off the seers arm wit hhis halberd.
The surprised seer stumbled backwards not knowing what hit him, he shoke his head, stood up and looked and said with a squeeky voice *You..*
He raised his other arm just about to cast on Gratzel but gratzel threw the halberd at him and it cut of his head. An echo of screams like it was many thousands of rats who died there came out of the body is it maybe the souls of the other clanleaders of the rats?
They were green and you could see through them as they were going down into the ground.
faded away and so did the green light surrounding the body, taking the body and the head with it.

That didn't stop the rats who went frenzied and charged in on the floor, roof and walls.
Gratzel didn't have much time, but he knew what to do. The slanns time was over he had lived over 4000 years and this was it. He took a sacrifical dagger covered with juvels and shoved it in the slanns chest while he was roaring For Sotek!.

The slann died and Gretzel had done his deed to the lord, and was about to take his own life when the temple started to shake. The rats got scared and was trying to leave as soon as they could. From every crack in the walls serpents of any kind came out, eating and killing everything in their path, exept Gratzel. They seemed to protect him. He didnt know what to do so he just stood there. The many hundreds of serpents was now outside the temple facing the cencer bearers, but the poison from the cencers didnt affect them. The snakes were in all sizes now. The rats tryed to fight back but the serpents were just too strong and forced the horde back longer and longer. Soon the rats who werent eaten were dissapeared. And so was the serpents.

Gratzel turned towards the slanns body. he feeled ashamed for failing his master. He took some of the slanns blood that he had gathered in a bowl in his hand and drank it. He got ill and fell to the floor almost choking. After a while he could breathe again. He wondered what happened and staggered outside the temple. In the air terradons were flying in victory formations, and thats when he knew that the city was saved. He found his halberd on the ground just outside the gate, and when he was picking it up he saw his hand, it was turning white. His green skin werent green anymore, it was white. From this day he was the albino saurus temple guard known as The Blessed One.

The Blessed One went on his life always searching for rat scum to destroy and wouldn't give up until all were dead.

The End.

hyvä tarina, kauanko kirjoitit sitä? Loppu tosin meni hieman "överiksi", ja Grey Seer kuoli liian helposti. mutta oli ihan ilo lukea sitä. :)

Loistava tarina "keep up the good work I say"

Oli kiva lukea ja toivoisin, että tuollekkin saataisiin jatkoa jossain välissä?

PS. saako tuon kopioida kotisivulle DOC tiedostoksi imuroitavaksi?
Tuska hälvenee, mutta hulluus on ikuista. "Myös sotavasarassa"
