First try out with brand new IG was played out, against standard army I face, lost and damned. Good! Traitors of Emperor deserve to die :D Here's list I took out, made out of models I have.

There. I planned to deep strike the command platoon and sentinels. For terrain we had 5 hills and 3 forrest scattered around to provide plenty of cover for both sides. Opponent took along:

flying daemonic stature daemonprince with manreaper + daemonic aura, other daemonic gifts likely as well

fallen Inquisitor(chaos lietnaunt) with power weapon and unknown stuff

~20 mutants with mutan boss w/fist and 2 heavy stubbers
4 traitor squads, one with rhino(squad had flamer and power fist leader, rhino had dirge caster), 2 had missile launchers and plasma guns and one(only 5 strong vs 10 of others) had heavy bolter and sniper rifle.
3 nurgling bases
7 furies
leman russ with trio of heavy bolters
basilisk with indirect fire
5 spawns
7 rough riders with some equipment(no lances).

Opponent won rolls to choose edges, deploy first, infiltrate first(though let me do it first) and roll for first turn...Bummer. After deployment it looked like this:

IG:

Firesupport squad on right screened by shooty foot squad, leman russ bit right and north of them on left side of forrest, armoured fist squad on right side of that squad. Expensive storm trooper squad infiltrated north of them. On left gap due to forrest, then flamer squad followed by infantry platoon squad, heavy weapon platoon squad behind those 2, then another shooty squad front of heavy weapon platoon. Second storm trooper squad infiltrated north-west of the shooty IG squad.

LATD:

On left empty rhino, behind which squad inside had opted to infiltrate(don't ask why), bit right mutant squad and fallen Inquisitor, behind them one of big traitor squads, further right nurglings, russ behind hill, spawns around dead center(these pushed my deployment back), front of them small traitor squad infiltrated, another big traitor squad, far right basilisk + rough riders.

LATD #1:

Rhino squad embarked and sped forward popping smokes, spawns moved forward as did mutants. Rough riders fleet of footed 6" forward and prepared to assault storm troopers(good!). Daemon prince flew ahead as well. Nurglings moved forward as well. Shooting. Basilisk missed with indirect, russ killed 3 from flamer squad, heavy bolter squad dropped 3 from firesupport squad on left(and I forgot I could just take loaders and leave shooters shoot autocannons thus removing 1 autocannon! D'oh!). Nothing else. Assault. Rough riders charge in but heroic veteran sergeant sliced 2 first. No storm troopers died to 5 rough riders and I killed another rough rider. Annoyingly they failed to break(I already could imagine myself charging that infernal daemon prince next to them, after shooting 2 plasma weapons + melta of course :D).

IG #1:

Storm troopers on left creeped bit forward. Flamer squad and infantry platoon command squad followed as well. AFS moved 6" east to aim at basilisk side. Shooting. Russ fired at heavy weapons squad and killed...1...Crap. Multi-laser from chimera toward basilisk missed everything. Bummer. Storm troopers shot krak toward rhino and did nothing. Autocannons on left repeated trick and only shaked and destroyed weapon. BUMMER! I killed one spawn with heavy weapon platoon command. Right autocannon squad peppered them some more and killed second. Shooty squad at right fired at heavy bolter squad as well forcing them to run. Assault. Storm trooper sergeant sliced another rough rider, rough riders dropped one storm trooper who killed 1 in return. Remaining 2 ran away never to rally again. I concolidiated toward daemon prince tempting him to charge them.

LATD #2:

Furies show up, crap. Prepare to charge storm troopers on left at once, nurglings followed suit. Rhino moved forward to my left, behind hill. Squad disembarked to other side leaving rhino between them and me. Spawns failed stupidity check. Daemon prince prepared to assault my leman russ, ignoring the storm troopers alltogether...Heavy bolter squad rallied. Shooting. Russ peppered at storm troopers at right killing several, big squad there fired at them killing few more leaving 4 alive which ran... Another big squad fired krak missile at russ and...Shaked it! DAMN!!! Basilisk fired at AFS chimera shaking it. Assault. Furies and nurglings assaulted storm troopers, killed mighty 8. Remaining 2 ran. Furies catched them though but nurglings opted to concolidiate. Daemon prince managed to fail to hurt russ with all his 5 automatic hit.

IG #2:

Only 1 sentinel showed up :-( Damn I have stinking luck this game with crucial rolls. Anyway it deep striked next to rhino squad(who were conviniently packed tightly :D). Flamer squad and infantry platoon command prepared to charge nurglings. Storm troopers on right kept falling back, straight next to daemonprince :D AFS chimera moved next to daemon prince, squad disembarked preparing to charge daemon prince(FOR THE EMPEROR!). Shooty squad on left spread out to cover autocannon squad from furies. Shooting. Autocannons on right fired at daemon prince, failed big time. Storm troopers shot and caused 1 wound(melta missed, second plasma rolled 2 to wound which was not enough vs T6, damn mark of nurgle). Then infantry squad front of autocannons fired. 2 more wounds, both from lasguns :D And who said lasguns suck...Almost gone. On left flamer squad, command squad and autocannons shot at the nurglings wiping them out. Oops! Wrong order of shooting, should have shot autocannons first or leave them out altogether, now my infantry was sitting duck...

Anyway further to left heavy flamer from sentinel caught all but I rolled badly and 3 survived. Bummer. Assault phase. AFS charged into daemonprince, lost 4 and didn't finish the nurgle daemon. Crap. Storm troopers on left died as well.

LATD #3:

Rhino squad embarked, moved forward and prepared to shoot from the hatch. Furies prepare to charge shooty squad. Spawns prepare to charge command squad of infantry platoon, mutants prepare to charge flamer squad. Sigh. Shooting. Chimera shaken, again. Russ shaken, again. Flamer from rhino torched another autocannon from squad(again forgetting I don't need to remove autocannon when I had 2 crew remaining!). Sniper rifle killed 1 from shooty squad at right, pinning the unit. Assault. Daemon prince killed 3 more, still alive(atleast squad was fighting valiantly against man-reaper armed thing from inner hell!), furies made short work of enemy, again. Remaining 2 trooper fought on. Spawns made short work as well. Oh and fallen Inquisitor went and blew the sentinel.

IG #3:

Command platoon missing, still. Second sentinel came between Inquisitor and mutants. Russ headed forward. Autocannon fired at rhino, shaking it. Sentinel torched 3 mutants + wounded mutant boss. Autocannons on right peppered at something, not doing much. Assault. Heavy weapon platoon plus 6 survivors of some squad(can't remember which) charged into furies gallantly but to no avail. Held furies though. Daemon prince finished it's job.

LATD #4:

Daemon prince prepared to charge shooty squad, rhino squad disembarked and prepared to finish autocannon there. Mutants headed toward right. Shooting. Basilisk fired at flank of russ, blew out battle cannon(and I thanked myself for arming it with sponsons. 10 pts for pair of heavy bolters is definetly worth it!). Chimera shaken, again. Assault. Daemon prince killed several, unit ran offboard and he couldn't concolidiate into autocannons, just. Fallen Inquisitor destroyed second sentinel as well(one would imagine he never could do that with S4 but...). And furies killed remnants of IG forced they were fighting.

IG #4:

Command platoon came in! Huzah! Flamer special weapon squad landed straight next to mutants, straight hit. Melta squad came in and hit well enough, next to Inquisitor. Command squad tried to land next to basilisk but scattered offboard. Ah well. Chimera moved next to basilisk, making sure forrest blocked it from fire from left. Russ turned around to look left. Shooting. Demo charge dropped 4 mutants, flamers several more, laspistols 1 more. Russ fired heavy bolters there and killed quite a few as well! Other special weapon squad shot at Fallen Inquisitor, hitting with both melta weapons and without any protection cooking him rather nicely. Mission completed!

Anyway autocannon squad then tried to get rid of daemon. 4 hits, 3 wounds! But not single 1 or 2 for armour saves...Bummer. Anyway mutants fell back under fire(being just too far from rhino's dirge caster :D).

LATD #5:

Mutans kept running, rhino chased toward them. Furies prepared to charge melta squad, spawns prepared to charge flamer squad. Shooting. Basilisk blasted at chimera point blank, straight hit, multi-laser destroyed. In assault both special weapon squads died. Daemon prince made short work of autocannons as well.

IG #5:

Chimera moved to other side of forrest from basilisk, hoping to get to cook the traitors nearby with heavy flamer. Russ moved bit back and tried to pepper rhino squad with heavy bolter, hit zero time.

LATD #6:

He shaked both vechiles, that's it for the game.

In the end I had 2 damaged vechiles alive and he had 2 quarters. He won by ~1300 pts aka clear massacre victory.

What did it for me was his furies. Those were INFERNAL! Also command platoon coming so late hurt as well...Ah well. Atleast I got the Inquisitor, nobody's going to survive dual melta hit at point blank range :D

Overall army performed decently enough and it was definetly fun. IG army that does something other than sit back and shoot. What a fun :D

Pitänee muuten mainita henkilökohtaisesti paras asia pelistä...

...perus troopperit olivat pelin sankarit minulle. Lasgunit tekivät mukavaa jälkeä kunhan pääsi ampumaan kohdetta jota voi vahingoittaa ja mm. teki eniten tuhoa demoniprinssille. Ja armoured fist squadi melkein onnistui tappamaan demoniprinsin lähitaistelussa :D Kolmen kierroksen aikana 2 woundia(ei hassummin huomioiden että niitä tapettiin jatkuvasti) joten jos jompaankumpaan olisi tullut 1 tai 2 armour saveissa olisivat he tappaneet demoniprinssin...Ei hassumin pelkiltä IG trooppereilta :D
