We´ve come to it at last, the Battle of Pelennor Fields. It´s a good supplement indeed, but:
We´ve noticed, that some heroes that doesn´t even exists in a book have greater stats than those, who battled through the book and movie.
Let´s take Suladan. He was mentioned once, and in that sentence he got killed by Théoden.
Specially, every character from the TTT seems like generic.
But we´re trying to get only couple of characters improved. The Hobby Specialists told me send our stat suggestions to you.
I hope that you are still reading .
We´re talking about Èomer, Elrond, Faramir and Witch KIng, especially Èomer.
Here´s our reasons. We send those to Hobby Specialists, and they said that those are very good and easily enough to change rules, if it would be up to them.
Firstly, Èomer: His father is Èomund, who spended his whole life fighting
with orcs and such.
His descendant of Eorl the Young and Helm Hammerhand.
Èomer himself has been figthing his whole life, as Boromir did.
Boromir is just good, and so is Aragorn (though I wonder why Narsil is
weaker than Andúril...).
Èomer is trained by best fighers of Rohan, Théodred and his uncle Théoden
(when Théoden was younger).
Èomer has spent whole his life in wilds and fields securing borders of
Rohan.
He fought in a Helms Deep, I think thats a good experience.
He fought by the walls of Minas Tirith as general and as a king.
He was Rohans most trusted and skilled generals with Théodred.
Saruman made a whole plan for tearing Èomer and Théodred apart from each
other by the battle of Ford (or whatever it is in English).
I think thats a good reason, why Èomer should be better, at least match
Gothmog and Imrahil.
You´ve always told me, that their stats represent their deeds, and what did
Gothmog or Imrahil?
Èomer killed two Múmaks with a single spear, and rode to aid his uncle to
Helms Deep. In a book he fought whole battle there though.
In a battle of Pelennor Fields Èomer formed a feared group of three with
Aragorn and Imrahil and they were described as equal by Tolkien.
They were all unharmed after battle, and there was noone who was brave
enough to stop them! Èomer should have at least one good Special Rule
(+stats of Gothmog or Imrahil).
I think that Èomer has strong will, he resisted powers of Saruman, he was
banished from Rohan by his dear uncle, but he understood.
And why 3 fates? He was Rohans most able commander as I said above, and he
survived and fought every large battle at the war of the Ring (except before
Lonely Mountain).
And why three attacks? Commanders, such as Gothmog, Dain, Aragorn, Imrahil
and so on has all 3 attacks! I think that Rohans best hero should have three
attacks too, he´s cut countless orcs down (in a movie he used his shield for
that!).
And why three wounds? Èomer was quite young, and he´s trained by experience
and Théoden and Théodred and Èomund. Èomund was a mighty warror who fought
´til death! I think he wanted to his son become same. Young strong man
should have high stamina. And imagine, fight your whole life and have a
father like Èomund! And riding a horse and shooting same time (and
fighting!) is not easy for a weak man.
Is it too much to give Rohan one good and expensive hero? We don´t need cheap and weak hit and run heroes, we need one good and expensive like Imrahil is!
You think he´s good, but players don´t! I´m not the only one!
And what becomes of Elrond. He fought in a TLA as a Gil-galads herald and
commanded his troops from frontline.
He fought every great battle in TLA. In Dagorlad, before black gate and
within a dark land itself!
When Sauron attacked Gwaith-i-Mírdain and slew Celebrimor, son of Curufin,
grandson of Fëanor, Gil-galad sent Elrond to fight Sauron and to gather all
those who survived.
Elrond fought there against Sauron and survived and found a beautiful valley
of Imladris.
Elrond is a son of mighty Eärendil the Mariner, who slew Ancalagon the
Black, who was son of Tuor and Idril and they were daughter and son of
Turgon and Huor, Turgon was son of Fingolfin and Huor was son of Galdor, son
of Hador Lórindol!
Elrond was a bearer of Vilya after Gil-galads death at hands of Sauron!
Elrond was trained by Maedhros and Maglor, before those two passed away with
Simarils.
Great blood runs in Elronds veins (spelling wrong?).
I think that those are good explanations, why Elrond should have at least F
of 7 and some Special Rule!
Elrond was a great healer, he cured Frodo from his terrible wound caused by
Witch King at Amon Hen. He reigned long and stayed until the era of men!
Now Elrond cannot even match Aragorn, who is mighty indeed, but still only a
man. Elrond is more mightier than Aragorn. Elrond should have a couple good
Special Rule, for Hadhafang the Sword and for healing for example. And maybe
+1 free will/turn.
For hadhafang (or just Elrond himself) something like "if outnumbered by two
to one or more the enemies take a courage test. If failed, they counts as
armed with daggers"
There was a couple of reasons for Elrond. Now Witch King.
Firstly, it is said that no mortal man can kill Witch King. Now a normal
Warrior of Minas Tirith can do that!
To avoid such a stupid losses, WK should have at least 2 wounds, maybe
three.
Withc King was most terrifying of all creatures (and creature he is!) and
orcs would have killed themselves if WK has told them to.
He fought against Cirdan and descendants of Elendil in Arnor (or somewhere
near) and killed King Eärnil II in a duel.
No mortal man can kill him, said Glorfindel and it was no mortal man who
killed him.
He was strong enough to confront Gandalf the maia, propably most powerful
being in Middle-Earth.
In a movie (or in Extended Edition) WK will break Gandalfs staff.
There are couple of reasons.
He has only 1 wound and 1 attack, so a normal elf can wipe him out if you´re
unfortunate.
A normal man if you´re very unforunate.
And what becomes Faramir, he should have will of 3.
He resisted a bad influence of the Ring and let Frodo go.
He was able read from Gandalf what he has in his mind eventhough Gandalf
didn´t tell anything. I think thats willpower.
He has boldly served Gondor, eventhough Denethor didn´t keep in a good value
and he was always second to Boromir.
Denethors comment in SoG book is good to tell what Faramir has standed. "Do
not trouble me with Faramir. I know his uses and they are few".
Still, after all that Faramir gallantly served Gondor and did his best to
save Gondor.
Here follows our stat suggestions, still reading ? These Special Rules are just suggestions to make heroes more individual.
Èomer should have even F of 6 to make more match compared to Aragorn and Imrahil.
Èomer, King/Captain of Rohan
"Èomer is Rohans most able commander, tall and strong, his men trusting him like nothing else. Èomer is descendant on Helm Hammerhand and Eorl the Young. Èomer is son of Èomund, brave and fierce warrior. Because of Grima Wormtongue, he fell out of favour, but still this proud and strong-willed commander secured borders of Rohan.
During the War of the Ring he fought with distinction at the battles of Helms Deep, Pelennor Fields and at the Black Gate of Mordor.
When King Théoden recieved his mortal wounds at the Battle of Pelennor Fields Èomer became a king of his people.
He fought fiercely alongside Aragorn and Imrahil, all unharmed no enemy could stand in front of them."

Elrond
"Elrond was born in Avernien on the coast of Beleriand in 542 of the First Age.

In the Last Alliance of Elves and Men at the end of Second Age Elrond was Gil-galads Herald.
Elrond fought valiantly side by side with his King leading Elven troops from frontline.
Elrond witnessed death of Gil-galad and Elendil and death of Sauron.
Before his death Gil-galad gave his Elven Ring Vilya to Elrond, who dwelled in Rivendell after that, and gave shelter to the descendants of Isildur."

Elf Hero, heavy armor, elf blade
Special Rules: Renew, 3+: Elrond is a great healer. He cured Frodo after Frodo was struck with Morgul Blade by Witch King.
Therefore Elrond has renew spell, which represents his incredible healing skills.
Vilya: The power of the Ring Vilya was to restore, not to destroy. Therefore everytime when he has used a will point, roll a D6. On a Roll of 4+ the will is restored.

And Faramir.
Faramir, Captain of Gondor
"Faramir is brave Captain of Gondor, brother of Boromir. Strong willed he is, resisted bad influence of the Ring, and withstood his fathers despise. The Blood of Númenor runs pure in his veins.
He fought where his aid was most needed, fighting for Gondor. He fought bitter battles in Ithilien, Cair Andros and Osgiliath.
He was cut down by Witch Kings Black Dart, but Faramirs strong will and stamina withstood that wound until Aragorn cured him.
He´s loved by his men, who obey his every command."

*Faramir doesn´t use shield due to his fighting style.
Special Rules: Living in a Wild: Ambushing forces of Sauron when moving at the land of Ithilien has taught many things to Faramir. He can move within forests without making a sound.
Therefore Faramir benefits Wood Elves in Woods rule.
* Note that Faramirs base defence is 5, so you can get defence of 7 even without shield.

And Witch King.
Witch King of Angmar
"Nazgûl lord of Ringwraiths. Originally Witch King was mighty sorcerer of the Second Age who was given the first of the Nine rings by Sauron. He became Lord of the Nazgûl and the most feared servant of the Dark Lord Sauron. The Prophecy says that he could not be slain by the hand of man.
Thousand years after the Last Alliance Sauron called Witch King back from the shadows and he rose up in a form of Witch King of Anmar.
He fought against North Kingdom of Arnor and destroyed Arthedains last stronghold. Next year he fought at the battle of Fornost driven away by Glorfindel. Later he attacked Minas Ithil and turned it into a Minas Morgul.
Witch King was a general of the army of Mordor at the Pelennor Fields and slew king Théoden.
At the Pelennor Fields his prophecy was fulfilled, and he died at the hands of Èowyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan"

Ringwraith, no armor, sword
Flail:+25pts
Special Rules: All the same Nazgul skills and options as usual, but.
Flail: Witch King has his fearsome flail, able to crush bones with ease. As Sauron Witch King can strike all enemies if he wins the fight. So every model who has taken part in that fight takes one hit from the Witch King. Only exception is, that his Flail cannot reach spearmen. Witch King can be supported with spear, but if Witch King wins, the supporting spearman takes hit too from him.

Don´t think that we´re here to complain about every character, not at all. Everything else is fine, only those needs tweakings and improvement, especially Èomer!
Though Legolas should have that agility skill of Hasharin, ´cause wasn´t Legolas greatest acrobat in a movie .
I hope that tou read them and maybe answer. And change those stats of course!
