Bird-like shape of the Shrike towered over battlefield as it stridered on plain. Its bird-like head, wings and claws in its legs were scary looking and its two UAC5s were ready to nail every enemy mech that made mistake for coming too close.
Star Colonel John Roshak looked like being in his element in his mechs cockpit. He had receaved this mech after his Turkina was destroyed in minor skirmish.
In his left side was Star Captain Anna Pryde in her Gyrfalcon, his second in command.
"Star Colonel, our Sniper Teams report enemy sightnings not far from here" Star Captain Anna Pryde reported. "Do we intercept them, quiaff?"
"Aff Star Captain, they would intercept us anyway so its best that we are ones that do it first" he responded. "All vehicles and infantry, forward".
Like stroked by lightning star of three Skadi VTOLs and 2 Cardinal Transports moved out and Elementals in Cardinals were eager to fight.
Four Kelwa Asault Tanks moved in formation from right side of the Star Colonel's Shrike. Smile in his lips was sinister like.
Ground shaked under mighty feet of the two battlemechs as they pilots moved to attack with determation of the true warriors that sitted in cockpits.
30 minutes later first spheroids moved to site. Four Marksman Tanks in Highlander colors and insignias tryed to close by as John Roshak moved his Shrike to position. Following example Anna Pryde moved her Gyrfalcon to position to opposite side of the plain. "Do not fire bofore its time and if you get change use our clans deadliest attack, death from above" John Roshak adviced his second in command.
From his command Cardinals dropped elementals to ordered position and Skadis moved behind cover as Sniper Teams revealed themselves.
Kelwas were driven to position in edge of the forest near plain.
More enemy units were soon spotted when Highlanders' Warhammer IIC and Koshi emerged from same direction as Marksmen.
Soon as Warhammer IIC got too close Shrike's jump jets screamed as it jumped behind cover of the hill. Metal screamed as assault mech landed upon another assault mech. "What the hell was that?" amazed Highlander Koshi pilot as he saw his friend go down quikly before getting hit from Kelswas' guns.
Elementals shouted they battlecry as they attack enemy tanks. Several of them got shot but those that survived from enemy fire attacked as true clan warriors althought some of them were badly wounded.
John Roshak didn't have time so see how his elementals were doing as he saw more enemy units, Standard Foot platoon moved in and they were going to capture Anna Pryde! Also he noticed that enemy artillery was in position and fireing him.
He tried to move away from artillery fire but it was truly heavy fireing.
He could not help his second in command becouse it would have been dishonorable and his own mech had receaved bad hits from artillery. Enemy Balac VTOLs had suprised elementals and he had to give order of retreat to remaing elementals. He shot one of Balacs by hitting to its rotor with LRMs and its pieces fell to ground as did burning wreckage. Remaing Balacs moved to attack Kelwas using they speed and agility as advange against tanks.
Sudenly he noticed that Marksmen directed they fire towards him. As his Shrike lost its leg and it fell to ground he lost his consience and he didn't see how his rest of troops were totally destroyed, killed to the last man and woman.
