Tietääkö joku, ovatko kaikki OK:t jotka voi ottaa Dogs of Wareina sellaisia, että ne vievät Rare-paikan? Esim. Empireen voi ottaa RoR-pikejä specialeina.

No jaa... Tuskin se sankareiden palkkaus on mitenkään huippuhauskaa, ainakaan fluffillisesti.

En sanoisi noinkaan, varsinkin jos kyseessä on suurempi palkkasoturijoukko. Pitäähän jonkun niitäkin johtaa.

Juan Diaz on sculptannut uudet Dryadit ja tekee tällä hetkellä Treemaneja.

Alex Hedström on sculptannut uudet Archerit ja Waywatcherit ja on muutenkin koko WE projektin johdossa.

WE figut ja army book julkaistaan marraskuussa 2005.

Dan Golden Thronelta oli saanut sähköpostissa "tietoa" Ogre Kingdomsseista ja niiden luomisen syistä.

I recieved an interesting e-mail the other day. It had numerous things in it, but one thing that I thought you guys would like to know, is the reason behind the Ogre's existence.

Now, the person who told me has no reason to lie about such things, and they told me that although there is more than one reason the Ogres got the go ahead, one of the main reasons was Warhammer Online.

Yep, thats right, WO was one of the major reasons behind the big fellas. Why? Well, when the game was still fully under development, the races involved in the game were all firmly put in their place. Humans, elves, Dwarves and halflings all had a decent amount of fluff behind them. However, Ogres did not have much fluff. Infact, next to none.

Well before GW realised that WO was gonna flop, they had already started on the plastic ogre sets and the rest of the range. It turned out that they had put that much money into creating some fluff and minis for them, it was too late to turn back.

Keep in mind. GW where planning on having WO released around this time of year, and as such, anyone who wanted to know more about the Ogres from playing the comp game could just go into a local store. Not only would it sell to the existing gamer, but it would also help get new gamers into stores (essentially making them more money).

Its an interesting read. And like I say, the person who told me this is fairly reliable. He couldnt put enough emphasis on the fact that this wasn't the single reason the Ogre's were released, but it does make the release timing of the Ogres slightly more forgivable.

There you go, we all now know why Ogres came before Wood elves, Catayans etc...

WO:n sivuillakin oli juttua tästä jo aikoja sitten. He juuri mainitsivat Ogret ja uuden armeijan joskus tulevaisuudessa. Tämä siis tapahtui jo piiiiiitkän aikaa sitten. Olin unohtanut koko jutun.

Kun tuossa muutama sivu sitten hintoja arvailtiin, niin gw on nyt vastannut siihen verkkokaupassaan.

Eli 30€ näyttäisivät ainakin bull ogret olevan. Mutta ogre tyrantin hinta on kauhistus, 27.50! maksavatkohan muutkin charrut saman verran.

Batallion näyttäisi olevan todella hyvä ostos.

EDIT: huomasin juuri, että 20 punnan tuotteet ovat suomen hinnoissa 35€. Battallion on siis TODELLA järkevä ostos.

Battalion on montakymmentä euroa halvempi, kuin jos ostaisi nuo figut paketeissa, vaikka battalion suomessa tuleekin varmaan maksamaan sen 80 euroa...

Mutta loppujen lopuksi ogret ovat kyllä järjetöntä riistoa...

...Mutta minähän aijonkin itse ostaa niitä.. hmmm...
Minut on saatu hyvin ansaan...
Kai nuo ogre armeijat tulevat kuitenkin hieman halvemmiksi, kuin normaalit armeijat...

Eikös se tyranki ole aika iso figuna. Hepalla ratsastava archaon on ainakin 30e Samoin valtenin tuorein versio. Myös se Kislevin läskiparoni karhuineen on 30e. Kaikilla on kyllä metalli ratsut, mutta maksaahan noissa sekin että ne on jotain spessu charactereita. Tavalliset kaaos lordit ratsuineen on 20 euroa kpl.

No juu, mutta aika harvassa armeijassa on useampia archaoneja. Jos se ogremaagi maksaa saman verran, niin ogrejen kenraalin ja käärökorin ostaminen tulee melko kalliiksi.

Ja jos haluaa pelata isompia pelejä, joissa enemmän charruja... Urgh!

Tällä hetkellä näyttää jo siltä, että kahden Battallionin ja kirjan ostaminen on Army Dealia parempi vaihtoehto.

Butcherin voi kyllä helposti konvertoida pienellä määrällä greenstuffia ja kasalla kroot-paloja.

Laskeskelin, että batallionista tulee tuolla pikku konversiolla jo melkein 1000p armeija (vain kenraali puuttuu).

se riippuu siitä mitä haluaa armeijaan. 8 Bullia on jo melkoinen määrä massaa ja Jetit ovat ihan kivoja kavereita. Lisäksi Army Dealin tyrantti on IMO hienompi kuin se toinen tyrantti.
Toisaalta Leadbelcherit ovat juuri se yksikkö jonka vuoksi harkitsen vakavasti OKn aloittamista.
Eli se riippuu ihan siitä mistä itse pitää...
