Lost Eagles
Ugh!
Seuraava kehittelemäni chapteri on tarkoittettu tukemaan mun figujen rakentelua.
Kiitos,

+Lost Eagles+
The chapter know as Lost Eagles is one of the great mysteries of Index Astartes. Their origin is known, but as yet, very little is known of their motives and most of all their objects of loyality. They are to most of the brother Space Marines like an avenging ghost that appers and vanishes with no visible trace but utter destruction. Many battle brothers of other chapters consider them only as a legend told to new recruits.
But, as usual, there are those who indeed know better...........yes, indeed.
What it comes to the origins of this mysterious chapter only the following is know as a fact, rest remains largely as speculation and hear-say.
The Space Marines of Lost Eagles are the former 1st company of Death Eagles chapter, a successor chapter of mighty Ultramarines. Death Eagles are one of the so called Codex chapters, naturally bearing the gene-seed of Ultramarines. They are known for their unique half white half Imperial purple armours and excessive use of Imperial iconography.
Here ends all that is know as a fact..........................
The following data is only a short length of data stream that has leaked from the vaults of the Inquisition.
One a chosen day of Him on Earth the 1st company of the Death Eagles was to commence a planet fall on an unknown planet in an unknown system. This was a mission ordered by no less than Ordo Malleus, and as it turned out, its grim branch Officio Exterminatum. This source of information reveals that this mission was introduced to Death Eagles as a cleansing mission as the planet had an outbreak of daemonic possession. Little knew the valiant Death Eagles that the planet had already been declared as Exterminatus. Their actual mission being to monitor the nature of the outbreak, report and............die in the virus bombardment. This "expedition" was led by Inquisitor Rosendahl, an young inexperienced man with clear potential but very little experience. These factors apparently made him expendable as did the non asking nature make the brave battle brothers of the 1st company. The leader of the 1st company was captain Maximillian Aquila. A very seasoned warrior specialising in close quarters swordplay. His men were harboring only high thoughts of him. Being fair but very strict man he treated all his men as if they were his brothers, not mere tools of war. Now, only thing they had was a oneway ticket to a destination of certain death.
As when Exterminatus has been declared and carried out, the Inquisition will routinely send a cloaked ship to monitor the planet for a certain period of time. So was the case here, except that the disappearance of the Death Eagles battle barge that executed the virus bombardment was also forcing a lauch of rapid scout expedition to verify the events that took place on that unfortunate planet in that unknown system.
When the Inquisitonal research vessel Veritas arrived to the orbit, the planet was probed and confrimed as Exterminatus. Now, where in the Emperor's name was the Death Eagles battle barge that was ordered to commit this hideous task? After seven standard days of scanning the orbit, all that could be found were 19 floating corpses that appeared to be officials of Officio Exterminatum that were on board that vanished Space Marine barge. All of them had apparently died of wounds clearly inflicted by imperial boltgun shells! Here ends the data that holds its origin to Inquisitional archives.
There are several other documented cases where a warp drive fingerprint of this mystery vessel has appeared.
Relatively soon after the incident described by the Inquisitional archives one of the numerous Black ships suddenly disappeared only to reappear few standard days later. However, the ship did not reply to hails which naturally led to a launch of a boarding party. Scene on the ship was so absurd that no one was prepared to witness it. All crew members remained unharmed but rejuvenated to a state of babbling babies. As this particular ship was on a course to Earth it should have been full of young telepaths and psykers for the Golden Thorne, yet this one was empty, clearly liberated of its precious cargo. All that is know of the events is that long range scanners of nearby deepspace mining colony detected a warp drive print identical to that of a missing Death Eagle barge.
There have also been numerous incidents where almost identical events have taken place. However, in these cases the ships were those belonging to Adeptus Mechanicus, carrying weaponry, munitions and vechicles to distant imperial outposts. In all cases the crew has been found in rejuvenated state but always alive.
From the files of chapters of Index Astartes are found some very intriquing reports of the appearance of this very same ship in areas under unrest and turmoil.
In one particular report an unnamed planet was yet again declared Exterminatus.
This unpleasant task was given to the Hawk Lords chapter. As their fleet arrived to the orbit of the doomed planet, the crew could only observe the planet being in flames, Exterminatus already well on its way. Ships short range scanners picked a sudden trace of a mysterious ship leaving the system. Yes, that very same mysterious barge.
Also in numerous battle repots from more than 70 chapters, there are descriptions of warriors fighting with incredible rage who appear on the critical moment to turn the tide of the battle in favor of the Emperor's finest. Their modus operendi being very much like that of relatively well documented Legion of the Damned. They arrive at the critical moment, fight with incredible passion and finally disappear without a trace.
It has also been mentionded that should a member of Inquisition be present on the field of battle, these warriors tend to treat them almost as enemies. In one case only intervention by Iron Snakes chapter sergeant Valorian kept these dark figures from butchering an Inquisitional warband involved in a particularily resilient city siege.
As yet, there have been no hostilities between Space Marines and their mysterious brothers. Yet, this may well change should Inquisitional chapters of Deathwatch or Grey Knights meet this band of Lost Sons.
As there are no reasons to doubt that these are the Space Marines of that former 1st company of Death Eagles chapter, their armour and battlefiled tactics have indeed changed in significant ways.
All the reports from chapter archives mention these same characteristics.
They have painted their armour jet black with no chapter signs. Trims are either left black or plated with gold. Almost all of the armours are modified in someway and hence are hybrids between several marks of Space Marine armour. This can probably be explained by the ways of resupplying by looting Imperial military transports.
They do not seem to have one particular sign of chapter, but they all carry very heavy decorations of Imperial iconography well exceeding the already flamboyant examples seen in Death Eagles. One or both of the shoulderpads are often replaced with a pad in a shape of golden eagle. They also carry enormous amounts of ancient Imperial icons, charms and heraldic insignia.
Maybe the most eye catching detail are the tunics and robes in vivid Imperial purple.
These are worn over the black armour by every single individual of this chapter. The shape of the cloth appears to bear little significance but the Imperial colour appears to be considered as one further mark of devotion to Him on Earth.
What it comes to weaponry of this band, it proves to be extremely varied. Weapons of all possible makes and marks seem to be present. Two noteworthy items mentioned in reports are eviscerator which appears to be the one carried by deceased Inquisitor Rosendahl and clearly mastercrafted, significantly shortened lascannon carried by one of the squad leaders. Also it has been written that some of the weaponry seems to be alien or looted from defeated renegade marines.
Conclusions:
This chapter now called Lost Eagles is no doubt a one highly devoted to the service of our God Emperor. As they have been in discussions with battle brothers of other chapters during the battles, it is appears that they bear no signs or marks of daemonic contamination. Also their command of Imperial Gothic is immaculate. Yet, their bodily purity is to be confirmed as they never leave their fallen brothers behind for further inspection.
When they have been heard talking amongst themselves they use titles such as Cardinal, Bishop, Abbot and Brother which all span way back to the dawn of the mankind in ancinent Earth. In the midst of fierce combat they have even questioned the loyalty of chapters such as Space Wolves, Howling Griffons and Mortifactors as they apparently felt that these were not fighting valiantly enough during certain battles. If their behavior would be compared to anything outside of Space Marine world, they would be almost like those fanatic Imperial preachers and confessors spreading the message of the God Emperor to civilian masses.
Their perfect timing and sudden appearances that would require a gift of foreseeing can probably be explained by the looting of that Black ship. It is widely agreed that the Lost Eagles use their legion of telepaths for intercepting and eavesdropping Imperial data traffic. Hence they are able to arrive at the right time in order prove their worthiness and dedication to the Master of Golden Thorne.
Even as they are clearly devoted servants of His Terribilitas, the quarrel between them and Inquisition is deep. It is clear even from the files of the Inquisition that they were practically sentenced to death by Inquisition for no reason. Knowing the nature of captain (now Cardinal) Aquila, it is clear that he did not allow his men to die in such a meaningless way. It has been speculated that Aquila is still carrying the eviscerator of the killed Inquisitor as a reminder of betrayal. It is only the empathy and respect from brothers of Adeptus Astartes that has been preventing the Lost Eagles from being declared Excommunicate Traitoris by the Inquisition. Yet, as anarchy, conflict and heresy inside the Inquisition are growing vast, this is a matter that may soon change......................very soon.

Juu, kiitos. Tiedän......eikä se ole tämän nimettömän "chapterin" nimi vaan nimi jolla heihin viitataan Imperiumin kirjoituksissa....joten saakin kuulostaa "sadulta". Mutta nyt taidatkin viitata SATUUN!! Hyvä huomio!!! Nimi siis vaihtoon.

Tästä tulee heti mieleen Legion of the Damned, mutta voi olla pelkästään sattuma. Voihan ne olla samanlaisia.
Muuten ihan mielenkiintoinen tarina.

Juu, kiitos.
Tästä johtuen heillä on huolto-ongelmia jonka takia joutuvat "lainailemaan" Adeptus Mechanicukselta kamaa. Ovat yhä 100% marineita ilman mitään mutaatioita.
Inkvisiition petoksen kautta tämän ryhmän lojaalisuus Keisaria kohtaan on saavuttanut täyden uskonnollisen fanatismin tunnuspiirteet.
