Rune kirjoitti: Right'o!
So, I've been wanting to try out a captasus of my own for a long time now, and you can't believe for how long I've had the materials at hand. About 4-5 years ago my friends bought me Balthasar Gelt as a birthday present, and even though I've lost the man himself a long ago, the mount has been (in pieces, though) around my boxes and corners from that time. I tried to fir the wings to my Nurglish Exalted Champion once, but thank Sigmar didn't in the end. :-) Now, I started the conversion about... 4 months ago, perhaps, and did it over and over again, planned like there was no tomorrow and must've ruined about 3 whole models during that time.
At last I finished it, straight out of the blue, and began painting it. The pegasus itself is soon painted (I can't figure what I'm going to do with the wings, though...), and I started the base. I'm not going to finish it yet (with either grass or snow), since I'm not yet positive wether if I should add him to my Grandbelos or Wolfenstein. The Cult would certainly need some boost, which a captasus would offer, and it actually has some hero slots unused, which isn't a priviledge Grandbelos can offer at the moment. And, the Imperial Empire is more of a shooting infantry army anyways. But I'll have to wait for the NEB in any case.
However, here's a collage of the finished conversion before undercoating. Below there are pics of the present state of the miniature.

The parts I used are as follows:
-Balthasar Gelt's pegasus
-legs from a plastic knight, severly cut and with a tabard stuffed over
-a few bags from a space marine
-head from the sixth edition soldiers command sprue
-bretonnian battle pilgrim torso (a lot of sawing and dremeling. But, I just recently learned how to cut things apart, so why not use the skill?)
-Bretonnian lance and right arm
-Empire knight's shield
-a piece of bark from the backyard, and a few pebbles
So, here he is. Any comment is apriciated. Generally, thus far I'm pretty pleased with him.He turned out better than I thought, but with that lot of sweating, weeping, replacing and work, I don't think I would've accepted less. With my experience and converting skills, I'm happy with how he turned out. Now I just have to finish the painting.
Kommenttia siis vaan.
