Pistä YV:tä, jos haluat niitä talojani lainaan. Hyvään tarkoitukseen voin maastoa lainata, vaikka kilpailevaa turnausta vedänkin.

Jes kai minäkin olen 'ehkä', eli pitää katsoa sunnuntaina mitkä on fiilikset (omat sekä varmaan nopeasti takaisin Tampereelle haluavan peliporukan ;)). Aiheutuuko tästä järjestäjille kohtuuttomasti päänvaivaa vai pitäisikö nyt jo pystyä lyömään kanta lukkoon?

No turnaus alkaa silloin klo 9, joten kannattaa olla ajoissa jos tulee. Yritän itse saada sen parillisen porukan, että toivottavasti osun siihen.

Turnaus on nyt käyty ja tulokset (ja lähes kaikki listat) on täällä. Toivottavasti kaikilla oli hauskaa ja ensi vuonna sitten taas uudestaan.

Kuvia tulossa hiukan myöhemmin ja myös turnaus raporttia.

The day started early for me as tournament was at 9.00 and I had to go set things up. So I was already waiting for a bus at 7.00 in the morning. When I got there I first started to scrounge for table cloths and after getting some it was already 8.30 or so. Off to kick some sleepers from the tables and set them up. I did manage to get everything sorted before 9.15 which was my limit.

My army was Lost and the Damned. I had planned to garrison the Coven 1 into overwatch positions to either support the moving or protect the blitz or preferably both. My Covens 2 and 3 would be a spearhead which should get in positions of engage and summon demons to do the job. Lord of Battles job was use any possible road and move with Covens 2 and 3. Silver Towers were my mobile reserve and my "gun group".


Game 1 - Vytautas with Marines

We got table 4 which was dubbed the "Grand Canyon". I set up my forces behind hills and forest with the Coven 1 in overwatch on one of the objectives. Marines had light set-up with Warhound, Land Speeders and Land Raiders.

Game started with cautious moves and eventually LatD started to go forwards. My mutant coven took up positions in buildings near Land Raiders. Which then moved to pop some Land Transporters. This was countered by Silver Towers which to surprise of us both managed to wreck every Raider (I scored 6 hits of which 1 was macro).

Turn 2 had Terminators teleport to my rear and assault Coven 1. Their remnants moved to blitz while Terminators lost one unit. Silver Towers moved back and killed two more including Supreme. In front the Coven 2 failed to move out. This caused Land Speeders to move forwards and Thunderhawk assaulted intermingled Lord of Battles and the coven. That backfired and only Librarian stand of Devastators survived to tell the tale. Lord of Battle then moved around the Speeders and fired on Warhound while Mutant coven summoned Bloodletters and engaged the Scout titan ripping it apart.

Turn 3 had me securing all objectives as Speeders didn't try to defend them. They did however destroy Lord of Battles scoring some revenge on it for devastating the Assault marines which attacked it.

5 - 0 (20 - 0) for me. I did feel a bit bad on turn 3 when I moved to take the objectives :smile:.


Game 2 - Kalle with Land Speeder Marines

This was a tricky game. I didn't have a good idea on how to go against these Speeders. Heavily out activated and almost no CC targets which meant that my Coven 3 was not the most useful of the formations. Eventually I decided following to be my plan. Coven 1 would be blitz guard. So garrison and OW to buildings near it. Coven 3 would be a sacrifice. It could only summon CC demons so it wouldn't be any use unless Warhounds would be near which I doubted would happen. So it should move in and get beaten as surely that would happen, so I'd prefer to choose the one myself. Lord of Battle, Coven 2 and Towers would move to support sacrifice and perhaps with luck they could hit hard while Coven 3 would suffer. T'Bolts would be charged in taking out the enemy Supreme Commander.

Turn 1 and Coven 3 eventually moved out to try to hit one Speeder formation in side. Speeders moved on it and killed some units and Lord of Battles moved to blow a Speeder. Then Coven 3 was assaulted and beaten causing it to fall back. Two more speeders ganged up against Lord of Battles and Towers moved out to support. Lord of Battles was assaulted and it managed to beat off the enemy, but was broken later. It moved towards blitz. Coven 1 decided not to join centre as my spearhead was being butchered and moved up a flank. Warhounds came out and blasted my Towers dropping two and breaking them. In rally all my formation failed. Noticeable was that most of the speeders that doubled, scored two hits per formation.

Turn 2 saw Marines push to attack my broken Lord of Battles and Coven 1. Coven 2 moved towards blitz and took up positions behind the enemy. Coven 3 bravely fought off Warhounds and T'bolts killed Supreme but lost one to enemy T'bolts CAP. One Speeder formation moved behind Coven 3 and hunted one more Tower. I managed to regain some positions on this turn, but again all my rallies failed.

Turn 3 was pretty much end game. Coven 1 defended blitz and managed to hold on to it against Speeders. Coven 2 got mobbed by Speeders and Warhounds and broken. Lord of Battles was finished at last. Speeders moved in end to secure objectives (except the blitz on my end) and T'bolts didn't show up to help breaking one formation of Speeders.

0 - 3 (0 - 20) for Marines with Defend the Flag, They Shall Not Pass and Take and Hold as I failed as usual to rally my Coven 1 on Marine end. Even though I was beaten pretty soundly, I think I would have had good chance had the Speeders not hit that well and if my formations had rallied at least that 1/3rd that they should have (-3 for being close to enemy and broken, though first turn Coven 3 and Towers had only -2).


Game 3 - Timo with Imperial Guard

This time I decided to use the Coven 1 in offensive way. I garrisoned it near the mid board.

Turn 1 saw the decimation of Coven 1. It got fired by Baneblade, Russes and assaulted by Infantry Company. End result is two Cultist units left alive. Covens 2 and 3 doubled to centreline for next turn. Towers doubled and fired on Russes failing to do anything. We both ended up having most of our armies within 1/3 of the board.

Turn 2 imperials won and both of my Covens were beaten back, but not decimated. I engaged the Russes with Lord of Battles, wrecked one (5 normal and 3 MW hits) and lost combat. Retain with Towers and sustain results in Hydra and normal LR lost. End result of the turn is all my formations broken before rallying. Luckily I got my Covens back.

Turn 3 I won initiative and Coven 2 summoned 7 Flamers and engaged the Regimental HQ back that had beaten them last time. This time the Flamers helped me to toast the formation. Russes moved to centre of board and fired on Coven 3 with Baneblade retaining and engaging them. After two rounds of combat the Coven 3 lost and moved away from covering my blitz. End of turn saw my Demon Engines being rallied and we managed to get to turn 4.

Turn 4 I won initiative again and like last turn Coven 2 summoned demons and engaged Baneblade this time. Two rounds of combat resulted in loss of 3 Flamers and Baneblade. Then both of us failed action after another. I failed Towers and Lord of Battle and he failed Russes, Shadowsword and Infantry Company.

Neither had win at this point (0 - 1 for Imperials with Defend the Flag) and turn 5 didn't come. So we went to count the points. I won with 235 points which is more than 10% thus granting me minor victory of 13 - 7.
