Tried out new ork list which is basicly old list with some unit changes. The list is intended toward Thunderhawk Down tournament mid-november. List uses some models I'm hopefully receiving soon, though if they don't arrive I'll just use old list, which I might do anyway. Here's the list:

Ok. Opponent used lost&damned. His army roughly:

chaos lietnaunt of some sort, never found out what he has.
aspiring champpion w/power fist

15-20? reqular mutants, 2 flamer and power fist mutant boss

12 traitor squad, Lascannon and plasma gun
12 traitor squad, Lascannon and plasma gun
5 traitor, mortar, sniper
7 nurgling base(ugh)
7 chaos marines w/fist champpion, bolters
7 furies
10 traitor w/shotguns and flamer in rhino
sentinel
leman russ w/heavy bolter
basilisk w/indirect
3 spawns

Terrain features of note(which actually affected game):

Forrest on center in my deployment zone, hill on my left. Forrest on his left zone(my POV), building on center. Rest of terrain didn't affect game much. Terrain was Black Box. 6" deep deployment zones(this is bad), objective in center which is 500 vp's. Both players roll a dice, lower first deploys as many troop choises as he wants, then other player. No other troops start on board(though he had his sentinel of course due to it's special rule).

Deployment, he rolled lower though not sure if it would have mattered much. My options were limited, have to get to that objective SOON so deploying first wouldn't have revealed any secrets).

LAD:

On left and right lascannon groups, behind right lascannon group was mortar squad. In center mutants(with aspiring champpion) with nurglings left of mutants and chaos marines somewhere there too. Sentinel on right.

Orks:

Left of forrest gretchin "box"(upside U) screening first slugga boyz(forming another upside U) and burna boyz(making sure KFF covers entire block). Right of forrest another gretchin "box" with tank bustas and second burna mob inside.

We roll for a first turn. He rolls 6, I roll 6. I roll 4, he rolls 1. Phew. I definetly can apreciate the headstart.

Ork 1st:

Army surges forward(and he starts moving his units as well. I won't be shooting(36" between us at first. I had nothing that could reach him!) so no point to slow the game just because of horde of orks that needs to be moved behind the first rank). That's it for my turn :D

LAD 1st:

Everything but mortar group advances(no point really to fire lascannons at gretchins. 5/9 gretchin worth the movement? I doubt it :D) Mortar drops 2 slugga boyz. Possibly critically the mekboy(only model from burna boyz the shell caught) avoided the blast. Having KFF die this early would be very bad. Multi laser from sentinel killed one gretchin.

Ork 2nd:

Reinforcements come up. Warlord, killa kan and lobba. That's it. Critically the skarboyz decided to stay out of combat yet. Ah well. Killa kan and lobba were behind forrest in center, warboss went right of it. Rest of army surged forward once more. I drop 1 nurgling base with my rokkits(I hate those bases. Lots of attacks and inv save). Also blew out sentinel with tank bustas. Take that!

LAD 2nd:

Everything par general arrives. Not good at all. Furies head toward stronger gretchin mob(which mystified me a bit. Why there?). Rhino heads toward them as well. Spawns come behind mutants. Big tanks came on left corner(oh dear. Nothing that can reach them. And 2 ordnances...Luckily there's house around there). Mutants, marines and nurglings keep moving toward me. Shooting. Odd gretchin dies here and there, nothing of note :D Assault. Furies charge the gretchin swarm. Kill horde of them, I kill 1 back and hold. Gretchins swamp the furies(but luckily few clear areas still there).

Ork 3rd:

Killa kan comes, no sign of skarboyz. It heads behind hill on my left. Killa kan on center enters the forrest. Tank bustas head straight left wanting to put rokkits in use. Warboss heads forward. Right burna boyz prepare to charge furies. On left I advance gretchins and make DAMN sure there's few inches front of slugga's and them...I hate ordnance and this is effective way to neutralise direct fire ordnance(since he has to center the ordnance top of gretchin. Unless it scatters toward orks they are safe and only gretchins die :D). Shooting. Lobba is spot on to mutants, scatters 6" off and is nowhere near enemy. I drop 2 more nurgling base. Damn close I didn't get more. Sluggas hit them with all rokkits(helped by rerolls) but failed to wound twice...That's unusual to say the least! Orks hitting but rokkits failing to wound. Bummer. Assault. Burna's into furies. Some gretchins dies, ork dies, all furies go poof after instability test(and lots of casualties from orks). Gretchins concolidiate to form another upside U "box" around burna boyz(Got to love gretchins :D).

LAD 3rd:

General still keeps staying back. Maybe he's tzeentchian in secret? Prefering to watch and command from far away :D Same units as before keeps heading toward me. Rhino squad disembarks and prepares to flame me. Shooting. Ordnance does little, infact killed one nurgling base(with help of good inv save rolls he avoided more casualties) with it. Flamers OTOH did kill lots of gretchins + slaver on right mob. Lascannon group on left aimed at the gretchins on left and I allocated lascannon to slaver. Bang he died(good. KFF didn't get in way). Both gretchin mob dissapeared with LD4 checks :D Only nurglings could assault anymore(TAR) which they did to slugga boyz. Without even contacting nob they got beaten badly, killing only 2 ork in process. They went poof as well. I concolidiated toward mutants. WAAAAAGH!

Ork 4th:

Skarboyz still nowhere in sight. Are they gretchins in disguise? Anyway. Burna's on right prepare to flame the traitor's. Badly. Sluggas prepare to charge mutants. Warboss head toward them as well. Tank bustas move around him too(to get one rokkit in contact with ammo runt). Burna's on left head behind building to be safe from ordnance. I'll use them to take the objective later. Shooting. I forgot to shoot lobba. I burned 8 traitor from rhino squad w/2 flamer :D BURN! Dropped 1 spawn with rokkits. Assault. Forgot to assault traitors with burna's. D'oh! But sluggas charged in killing lots of mutants(something like dozen). Lost few orks in process as well but not too much. They fled in terror but sweep got them(phew! I definetly would have hated to face pair of ordnance without cover saves! God bless new sweeping advance!).

LAD 4th:

General arrives. Guess he's braver than mob of skarboyz. He proves to be no use in game either though. Traitor's move to side of burna mob(uh oh. Here comes flamer!). Spawns and chaos marines prepare to charge orks. Shooting. Tank bustas got beaten badly and fled nicely. Killa kan got stunned. Burna mob on right was annihilated with shooting. Assault. More orks dies when chaos marines and spawns charge but so do mutants and one chaos marine. There's only aspiring champpion alive from mutie squad.

Ork 5th:

Skarboyz arrive, finally. I settle on deploying them on my right to shoot at two traitors. Warboss prepares to charge spawns. Burna boyz on left prepare to charge chaos marines(good to have lots of units. Cripple one, another takes it place :D). Shooting. 2 traitor died to rokkits. Assault. Warboss went in, suffered a wound and then killed both spawn. All chaos marines dies to numerous power claw, burna and choppa attacks. Only survivor from LATD army was single aspiring champpion...Which passed test and was instantly swamped by remaining 3 slugga boys(inc nob), warboss and burna mob...I definetly didn't want to get shot by those ordnances!

LAD 5th:

Basilisk sniped my nob from skarboyz plus pinned lobba. In assault I killed the aspiring champpion before he could even try to get my warboss(thank you choppa). I concolidiated around the objective.

Ork 6th:

Warboss join mekboy unit and unit grabs the objective. Slugga mob inside too hoping to survive. Killa kan behind the hill headed left hoping against odds leman russ would shoot at him instead of important objective unit(unlikely but what do I have to lose :D).

LAD 6th:

Everything opens up at nearly unhurt mekboy unit. However ordnances scatter around and cover saves same some more. In the end there's still 5 ork + warboss remaining. Morale check passed with ease(thanks LD9) and objective was mine!

I won by roughly 450 pts, despite 500 pts objective...Damn the LAD units are cheap. Biggest problem I faced were the 2 ordnance blasters which I couldn't reach with any gun. Hopefully in tournament there's smaller tables=less room to hide. Lobba might even be able to shoot at their rear armour :D Skarboyz were dissapointment but I knew they would suck in this scenario. All in all I figure this is THE hardest scenario for me from the initial 3 scenarios. Stinky deployment zone, problematic distance to objective(can only hope to blast enemy transports when they come there and hope to get first turn) and skarboyz in reserve. Depends a lot from enemy army as well. Let's assume his fastest units aren't troops(troops are 96'ers for example). I'll be in great spot at that then as I have 100+ model coming toward objective already. Another thing in my favour is that whirlwinds etc start to shoot from turn 3 earliest. Definetly a bonus. If I can only stop opponent from getting the objective and running away with it...
