Lord Inquisitor Constantinus Laurentii

"Laurentii was truly the most enthuastic Inquisitor I have ever seen..I'm afraid to say, he still is. Only his goals have changed".

Laurentii was only little over 100 years when he embarked for the quest to put an end to the Chaos worshipping cults of Ginatiar. He had recruited thousands of men, trained to the highest standards of the Imperial Guard. Brother-Captain Jiercan accompanied the righteous crusade.

The "trip" to Ginatiar was a complete disaster. None had survived. Constinus was convinced that there was no need to Exterminatus, the cults were still small and unimportant. As the troops landed, they found themselves in the middle of hell.

Entire legions of deamons had been summoned. There was no chance that they would have survived. Without the authority of an Inquisitor the crew of the spaceships dared not to do anything. The last transmission from the spaceships told their destiny quite clearly, only screams of unimaginable pain and torment.

Years later the Inquisition received some disturbing information. Constantinus hadn't after all died, and neither his men. Raids on archive worlds and ancient Eldar croneworlds were reported. The reports told of something quite unbeliavable. They said that a man wearing heavy robes and a shining white armour arrived to the planets, demanding the planet to surrender all its information about the Warp and Chaos, or suffer the wrath of the Emperor.

The planets governors were surprised of the roughness, and few times people spoke of hideous mutations upon the man's soldiers. Also there was some rumours that there would have been Eldar in the ranks of the army.

Inquisitor Inquisitor Cassandra Riez of the Ordo Malleus was given the duty to hunt him down.

"Insane genius, ruthless and an extreme authority. That is Constantinus, our leader, father and guardian" Inquisitor-Commander Ilyah begins his biograhpy of Lord Inquisitor Constantinus Laurentii.

After the crusade to Gilukia he had changed. He had seen the power of the Warp, experienced it and narrowly escaped it. From that point on he lusted that power himself, thinking that with it he could turn the Humanity's downfall into age of prosperity.

For years we searched everything that could help us in our holy fight. Ancient artefacts, scrolls containing the wisdom of the past. The men followed without questioning anything. constantinus had lead them through hell and spared them. When Constantinus leads them they fear nothing, obeying his every word. Such is his charisma.

"...The men had become weary, years of warp travel had extended their lifespan beyond ordinary, each men counting as ten normal..." Ilyah's descriptions of the men.

From the few who survived Gilukia many had fallen in the heat of battle (even though we often received no resistance because Constantinus was clad in shining white armour, and introducing himself as the Emperor). When our numbers were few, and spirits down we arrived to a planet we later came to know as Ulithi

Ulithi was a green pearl in the darkness of space. Vast forests covered the planet's surface. Great spires, almost equal of the Imperial hives, rise from the forests. The people of the planet resembled human, with (I'd say Eldar..) a little more slimmer and pointy features. They welcomed us, but with a lot suspicion. The people were clearly advanced in technology and also in the arts. Their cities were architechtal masterpieces. We spent years there, wich seemed pointless to me, as there clearly were no artefacts, although the Ulithi possesed minor inventions with interesting qualities..

With Constantinus' knowledge the planet's people prospered even more. But in time it came clear to us all, for what we were there. Constantinus had started drafting in secret, and exploiting the planet's resources..

After the episode in Ulithi our numbers were higher than of the survivors of Gilukia. Much we had gained from that people, in the expense of their civilization. This I regret, though I believe our mission is honest and pure.
