Captain Ejnar of the Space Wolves wrenched his power sword free from the dead terminator's chest and emptied the magazine of his bolt pistol at the Dark Angel standing about 14 feet from him. The shots struck home, piercing the space marine's neck and back, killing him before he hit the ground. As Ejnar turned, he saw one of the Dark Angels train his plasma gun towards him. As the gun fired, Ejnar raised his sword and managed to reflect the shot away from him. The space marine stood there for a moment, shocked by the martial skills of his enemy. He regained his thoughts and bgan rapid firing at Ejnar. Ejnar was able to parry the first shots, but was forced to take cover behind a wrecked Land Raider. "Death!Death comes for you!" the Dark Angel yelled, firing at his cover. Then suddenly the plasma cell of the gun cracked and exploded, melting the space marines armour and killing him instantly. Ejnar rose from his cover and ran towards the thick of the fighting. He picked up a storm shield of a dead terminator. The Dark Angels had gained the upper hand of the fight and the 13th company was almost beginning to retreat. From afar he could see his master, the venerable wolf lord Erik Hemligskagg, ripping the head off from another deathwing terminator with his lightning claws. The reinforcements of the wolf priest Gydd hadn't showed up yet and without the reinforcements, they would be unable to escape the planet and leave the Eye of Terror. "Captain Ejnar!" a familiar voice yelled from behind. Ejnar turned around and recognised the faces of the scout- sergeant Sarj and the remainder of his squads. "What is it?" asked Ejnar. "There's more of them coming towards here." said Sarj. "What!? How far from here?" "About seven miles." answered Sarj. "We were trying to flank them, when we were attacked by the vanguard of their reinforcements. Mostly scouts and scout- bikers. We fought them and managed to kill all of them, but the rest are on their way." Ejnar thought the options and then suddenly said: " I have a plan. You join me and follow me to the city. Try to establish a contact with other scouts and combat squads and tell them to advance towards the city. There we shall make our last stand against the enemy reinforcements." The scouts began to follow Ejnar and it wasn't long till they reached the city's main street. The scouts and combat squads were already there. Ejnar quickly began giving orders. The snipers and fire-support scouts were either on the roofs or in the craters under the rubble. The close combat scouts, close-range scouts and combat squads were behind cars, destroyed tanks or inside buidings.
It took 20 minutes for the enemy to get there. Their force consisted of tanks, tactical squads and combat squads. They even had brought two dreadnoughts. "Attack!" Ejnar yell and the snipers and heavy weapon- armed scouts began firing at the enemy. The combat squads and close combat scouts charged the enemy head on. Ejnar climbed atop one of the dreadnoughts and with his sword he opened the hatch. He grabbed a krak grenade and dropped inside the dreadnought. He jumped down to cover before it exploded.
The fighting raged on for hours and the Space Wolves were about lose the fight. Ejnar was mortally wounded at least 10 times, but still he fought on. Librarian in terminator armour used his powers to make him weak. He fell to his knees, unable to fight anymore. The librarian took his force weapon in two- handed grip, ready to end his life. As he raised the weapon, he heard a feral snarl and suddenly his face was torn with agony. He dropped the weapon, coughed blood and died. A hairy figure stood behind him. It raised it's hand towards Ejnar. Ejnar grabbed the hand and the creature lifted him up with ease. It wore a power armour and it had the face of a wolf. It was a wulfen. The wolf priest Gydd and his Ulfnar-kin. Suddenly the whole area was teeming with wulfen and wolves. The wolf priest dropped down from a buiding's roof, down to a tank. He cracked it open with his axe and threw himself inside. Ejnar could hear screams of agony and the tank stopped. The hatches opened and blood poured out. The fighting-spirit of the enemy was crushed and they began to retreat. The wulfen followed. The defenders mounted the tanks of the enemy and began to assault the lines of the Dark Angels.

Before Ejnar mounted the Land Raider, he raised his sword in triumph and roared: "Kill them. Kill them all!"
