The Storm Crows have originally descended from the revered Ultramarines, though the records of their founding are customarily kept secret from all but the most classified eyes. The Chapter regularly works in the galactic east, close to Tau space, but are often called elsewhere for various missions. They have no planet to call their own, instead deploying from their star-capable fortress monastery "The Grace of Arms" and recruiting new candidates from the planets wherever they move.
The symbol of the chapter is a white crow with its wings spread, on a blue background. Their armour is also fully blue, with standard green gun casings and company-specific shoulder pad trimmings. Sergeants and veterans have their helmets painted white or wear no helmet at all.
The most (in)famous of the Chapter's companies is the 3rd, or "strike" company (light blue trimming and roman numeral III painted on either kneecap or shoulder armor). Working most of the time independently from the chapter, the company is mobilized by their strike cruiser "Stormbringer". Numbering rarely the full hundred men strong, the company is constantly embarking on the chapter's most dangerous and suicidal missions. Nevertheless, most of the Brothers in the chapter would consider the 3rd company to be the one they'd like to be stationed with, even before the veteran (1st) company. It thus has been customary to the 3rd company that they may keep hold of their own veterans and the company has even been sanctioned with a small number of holy Terminator Armour to equip their elite troops with. In most cases, one never leaves the 3rd company alive.
Some of the most revered and experienced Brothers of the Company include their former captain, Battle-Brother Maximus, who was mortally wounded in a battle against a vicious tyranid forward scout force. Maximus now serves the company encased in his holy sarcophagus, bringing once again death and destruction to the enemies of the Emperor. Also worth mentioning are the Company Chaplain, Brother Aurelius, whose ferocity is well know by his fellow warriors and especially the Assault Squad "Righteous Fury" whom he is often seen leading to battle, and Brother-Librarian Bartholomeus, who wields both a dreadful force axe and a huge thunder hammer to battle. Last but not least is of course the company Captain, Jonathan "White Wolf" Varius, who was the sergeant of Captain Maximus' command squad and inherited his position as the senior officer when Maximus was incapable of leading the Company any more. Varius has recently received a Terminator Armour of his own, wielding a pair of terrible lightning claws with the ferocity of a hungry wolf.
The company is known for their furious approach to battle. Some would even argue their tactics are somewhat non-existent, but that would be an underestimation. Although many times the Company has hurled themselves at hopeless odds, they have still emerged triumphant over their foes. According to the Company's honor, there is no retreat from a mission no matter how desperate it would seem.
As Captain Varius says, and is frequently quoted by his Battle-Brothers, "Nobody has yet proved that impossibilities even exist."

This world is not so vast that it could conceal the bones of my enemies. Instead I will pile them so high even their gods weep at the sight.
