Prologue

The planet of Hor'sma was under siege once more. Some 15 years ago the Tau had moved in on Emperors territory and ousted the righteous rule of Imperium on the planet. Large number of refugees has been allowed to leave, however many had remained. Commander Asa Ura was watching the planet as the Imperial Armada moved towards it. There had been several confrontations with the Tau fleet, but it had not been enough to prevent them from reaching the planet and landing troops.
- Look at it. Filled with traitors. I wonder how many will say that they couldn't get passage when the Tau invaded years ago.
- "Yes sir" replied hid adjutant on the left.
- How is the troop landing going
- Well, sir. I've landed several regiments the main continent. Tau are still evacuating civilians and forces to the other side of the planet.
- How much resistance we are facing?
- Not very much, mostly skirting and only moving to engage when there is civilian convoys threatened.
- Is there been any updates on the Navy's plan to control the entire orbit?
- Yes sir. The last offencive was repulsed by Tau fleet and ground based ion batteries. Navy is reconsidering how they should proceed. There was an emergency meeting last night and it seems that they will be requesting that the ground forces take some of those batteries before they will move again, sir.
- Where on the planet?
- Most likely the ones near some city of Barush. I took liberty of requesting ground commanders reports of our troop movements in the area. It seems that we have a Stormtrooper regiment near there with some additional Infantry, sir.
Asa Ura kept silent for a moment watching the planet below him. "Schedule a meeting with senior staff at 17 hundred hours. And I want to talk to Lord Commander of the fleet within few hours, at his earliest convenience of course."

The Tau commander of the sixth district was watching the reports carefully. It seems that the Imperials were pushing hard towards the city Kuo'lo. They were burning villages on their path and scattering civilians before them. Speculation was that they wanted to take command of orbit and would require disabling some ground based ion batteries.
- Shas'O we have lastest information of their ground movements. Imperial infantry is moving to control a town outskirts of Kuo'lo. There is a strong element of their light fliers moving towards there as well. High command has ordered those forces to be stopped.
Shas'O studied the map and the troop deployments in the area. "We need garrison from Kuo'lo to bring additional missile barges. We need help of the Air caste as well. Have Orcas come pick us up and deploy to the village here before the Imperials get here. You will move in at best speeds with all the mobile troops here to support us. The Gue'la will be stopped there." he said pointing at the map.
